ParticipantDidnt watch the game, have only seen a period of leafs hockey so far (been highlight viewing them), but from the highlights this Primeau kid looked a little shaky. Could just be cause its his first game with the leafs, so hopefully he settles in.
Any word on Woll?October 15, 2025 at 10:20 am #42380Dozzer
ParticipantAs everyone and their mom said, Marner will get his reg season points and points in games 1 – 4 in a playoff series. But disappear after that.
Not sure why some are still trying to brag about a couple of assist here or there.Nothing special at all. I looked it over. In game 1 he got a primary assist and a secondary assist. Last night he got a secondary assist and then a primary assist on an empty net goal.
He’s a good player but some people seem to think he’s on par with guys like Lemieux/Gretzky/Crosby/Sakic/Jagr etc and no he is not.

New team, it will take time for him to get comfortable.

He’s still not a guaranteed hall of famer, and it’s amusing how many people treat him like he is.

ParticipantHey peeps:
If you are looking to take in a Leafs game, tomorrow night is the one to target.
There’s still a jillion tickets for sale, and if the Jays win tonight, it’s going to be an even better buyers’ market.
As always, wait until 6 pm on game day, then pounce.

Expecting a lot more people to be focused on the Jays tomorrow if they make the series 2-1?

The Jays are done for. Seattle is to the Jays what Boston is to the Leafs.

ParticipantJays also suck on the road, next 3 games are road games. It’s over in 5, best case scenario.

Just judging by clothing on the street, the Jays still hold a lot of attention. I saw a lot of Jays hats on my way to work this morning.
I think a large portion of Jays fans are bandwaggoners (myself included these past few years). If they win tonight, the hype and hope will ramp back up.

You’re so hopeful for Toronto teams.
If you can’t escape negative beliefs why do you even bother watching sports?

I give Toronto teams as much hope as they earn and deserve. It’s their fault, not mine, that they usually fall short.
Jays left their bullpen in shambles. This is what they get. They relied on their offense (like the Leafs) to win them games. If they score 13 runs a game, they win. If they don’t, they lose.

A lot of people wearing Jays stuff in London still too. I’m looking forward to the game tonight as well, glad it’s still around 8, my couch is too damn cozy for a late start lol

Then sit back and do nothing more than cheer for a fired up lineup then.
Just concentrate on the positive stuff for once and ignore the negative. Everything in life has both and it’s your focus that defines what affects you the most.

ParticipantJays still a good team and had a good season, comparing to the last 10 years.
So I am positive, but there are few teams better than Jays and not much can be done about that.
Will keep watching and rooting for Jays, but I am not trying to fool myself and expect something not realistic.October 15, 2025 at 3:16 pm #42462Dozzer
