ParticipantAs for the team I get it, don’t listen to the dramatic media, they simply say whatever gets them attention. My hope is nothing more than them waking up after getting shut out, and if they don’t I’ll just shrug and see what comes next.[/quote]
Of course, media is just working for click bites, the worse Leafs playing the more topics they have.
I never listening to these clowns.-

ParticipantDomi needs some push from Berube, but he will be fine. We are in full circle now. I remember when media was screaming that
Leafs are not playing play off style of hockey and they need defense first minded coach to have success in post season.
Now I hear they advocating that Leafs players need to go back to the old gun and run system, which is more suited for their roster.Oh I get it about Domi, just one of my dumb little jokes is all.

ParticipantThe Leafs are going to win tonight!
I’ll never guarantee it, it’s why I’m not a gambler, but I’ll always cheer for it!!
Go Leafs Go!!!
Seriously tho, Domi’s game is essentially tobogganing right now. Makes it to the bottom of the hill, gets benched, climbs back up while he’s sitting out, gets put on line 1, slides down the lineup, and gets sat again being at the bottom of the hill. Will he be on line 1 again next game? lol 😂

ParticipantI haven’t been going to either of the hockey sites, lately. I’ve also started not watching the Leafs. It’s my prerogative to just tune them out. This team didn’t have to go down this route. Biggest mistake is taking the “C” from Tavares and putting it on Matthews. He didn’t need the extra headache. Rielly hasn’t been great for 3 years now. How come they don’t address that elephant in the room? Burube? He wasn’t the coach that they really needed. Spencer Carbery was, but they let him go to Washington. Too many draft picks squandered, poor choices of assistant coaches and a Corporation that made more money than they were entitled to, with exorbitant ticket prices and you see where this stew began. Letting Sportsnet and their washed up broadcasts getting another 12 years of National coverage also hurt the product. TSN had a more hip broadcast and brought in the younger people. As a 68 year old fan, I’m starting to feel that I’ll never live long enough to see them win another Cup. What can they do to turn it around? A silent auction of Austin Matthews, then the domino’s of Rielly and Nylander being moved is the answer. Yes, it will hurt in the short term, but they’ll come back with younger, more hungrier players. Enough treading water, clean house and do a reset on the fly. For now, they’re in purgatory until they reset this sinking ship.
As 69 years old fan I agree with all you just said.
