Yes of course, because it is the norm for teams to hit on all 7 and have them all turn out to be top 6 forwards and top 4 D.

Which is why it’s imperative the Leafs continue to acquire more 1st round picks for Tanev, OEL, McCabe, Tavares, Carlo and all the other players over 25 as they tear it down and rebuild.

Also, can’t forget lottery picks in the 2028 and 2029 draft. At least one of those should be a franchise player.

That’s as many as 14 pieces to rebuild with in the next 4 years. Even if only half of them hit, the Leafs would be on solid rebuilt ground.

Would you take that deal for 34?

    Rossi, Ohgren, Buium and 1st

I wouldn’t take that exact deal for Matthews because I’m not a big fan of those prospects however, the idea of four 1st round picks is very exciting. So, if the draft capital coming back to the Leafs is a young roster player, an elite prospect and two 1st round picks, maybe more because Matthews is the best goal scorer of this generation not named Ovechkin, that would be a great haul. Add to that what Nylander could fetch (again, at least one elite prospect, a 1st and a young roster player wouldn’t be out of the question) and that would be a fantastic boost to a rebuild of which I am already a big fan of.

Matthews + Nylander = two young roster players, two elite prospects and three 1st round picks.

If you play those cards right, you could end up with a rebuilt top-six (adding Knies and Cowan to that equation) and a rebuilt top-four (adding Danford to that equation) and they would all be under 25 and cost you very little cap space for the next 5 years.

Once the Leafs goaltending situation gets back to healthy, they should be able to deal Stolarz for a 1st+. The Leafs need to get some draft capital back and trading Stolarz makes sense, knowing that Woll and Hildeby are solid, younger goaltenders. They should also look to acquire Dumba off of the waiver wire and move a defenseman later, once the D Core is back to full strength.

I would trade Stolarz but he’s worth nothing right now. Goalies are generally worth very little unless they are proven elite and Stolarz is a proven back-up with injury problems and now has a pretty fat contract for a guy who can’t play a full season.

Dumba is garbage. Another failed dumbass Dubas project.

He was just fucking posting those to combat the political posts. Is this place ever going to get mods?

If so I hope they are better than the ones HB had
