The Detroit Red Wings have fallen out of a wildcard playoff spot with just 12 games left to play. Detroit blew a 2-1 lead and lost to Boston.

Larkin is coming back, even if he is not 100 %… maybe after Ottawa who would hit him again and again ? It would be wiser to wait. As I said some time ago, it reminds me of Yzerman playing on one leg and coming back on the ice to help the team at a critical moment (playoffs if I’m not wrong).
This year has been so tight for the race to playoffs that it is crazy. Interesting indeed, but crazy. Maybe something to do for the NHL for the years to come, so that not so many teams fight for one spot (such as shuffle the teams a bit more) while it is quite ok in the west ?
For Detroit, playoffs have already started and it is good experience for Mo and co.
That will tell us if they are ready to do something nice in the playoffs or just fall in round 1 or before… time will tell us really soon.
