Swapping seeds with other growers is a good way to try genetics for free, but you inherit whatever the other person’s record keeping was, which is usually a label in marker and a vague memory. Bag seed from a swap is fun, not reliable. I keep my swaps for experiments and buy anything I care about from https://budweedseeds.com, where at least the breeder, batch and sex are written down somewhere I can find later. Both have a place, just not in the same tent if you want predictable results.
