Congratulations to the Ottawa Senators for a successful season. Many Sens fans woke up this morning disappointed that they didn’t beat their provincial rivals, but it was a great first step for their future going forward. Their young defense and their forwards group was a breath of fresh air from an Atlantic Division that’s had the same 4 teams dominating the division for the last 10 years. Boston is now in retool, with Florida and Tampa not too far behind. Next season, the Sens will in all likelihood move up in the standings and will soon be part of the elite in the Atlantic. With a few tweaks and shrewd moves, they’ll be better moving forward.
