Might as well do something with the space. If Marleau back in the day was worth a first maybe price will be? Or a decent prospect. Dunno much about what Montreal has though
Well, they are pretty stacked on defence. And I imagine when reinbacher gets some experience they will have one of the best D cores in the nhl.
Their forwards are pretty decent. Some good skilled forwards coming up in demidov and Bolduc. Could use some experienced leadership maybe.
Goalies suck.
Cap should be good with cap going up and price gone. Hutson needs a new contract but everyone else is locked up pretty cheap.
Idk. Take price for a pick/prospect. I know nothing about their prospects. Give them ‘veteran leadership’ in the form of Hayes/accari… both lol
What I look forward to most this season is seeing how/if:
1 any kids can contribute in meaningful ways.
2 if we offload our oversupply of vets
3 finally and most interesting to me, next draft which, for the love of god, better be a higher pick
I thought I remember reading letang will be out to start the year so I’d imagine we get karlsson dumba and Clifton on the right side. I feel like graves will get another chance with the new coach as well as Shea and either Witherspoon or Pickering on the 3rd pair.
With the massive cap jumps graves isn’t such a detriment and will probably be on par with what ppl of his caliber get paid in a year or two. But hopefully a new coach/system will allow him to tread water enough for a trade. Or him and Jarry absolutely tank us

MurashovAt least goalie will be sorted. Jarry and silovs in the N. Blom and Murashov sharing starts in the A. Hopefully Jarry costs us all the games but for some reason I feel like we will see All Star Jar.
An absolute gluttony of sucking on defence and forward depth though.
At least I guess we know what to expect out of the goalie situations. Jarry and silovs in the show. Blom and murashov rotating in the A. I think we will start to see the baby pens start to win some playoff games this year.
Hopefully we see a mass exodus of depth from this team soon and an attempt at starting to build a new core to focus around. There is not a single F or D that should be considered a core player yet.
It’s a total haul or nothing for the R’s.
I hope we start to get away from quantity and start looking at quality. We have a gluttony of nobodies at every single position.

I’ve actually been cooking in my pizza oven more than my grill but I grill a few ribeyes or ny strips a week lol big steak family here. Including the 2 year old.
Same. I live next to cattle country so it’s an endless supply of beef with some deer/elk/moose sprinkled in. Good to start the little ones young on meat, organ meat, bone broth. Keep em healthy.
Montreal is the best option from that list. I do think Crosby would fit with Colorado also.
Rangers & Leafs – just don’t see it happening, as I don’t think Crosby really would care to take himself into the mega markets to try to fix teams with issues.
Edmonton – I don’t think Crosby would be inclined to take a trade to Edmonton to help McDavid win a cup. Especially given there is no certainty that McD will be back next season.
Missing from your list:
1. Florida – I have no doubt Crosby would gel with that team and would enjoy the tax advantage and playing with his buddy Marchand chasing a cup. Can Florida offer much of a return?… not really but who knows. Pens could take Lundell & a 1st and improve their odds this year at McKenna.
2. Vegas – Vegas would need to find a taker for Karlsson to make the cap work but they have a couple 1sts they could offer the Pens. Crosby & Stone would be the best, oldest, toughest C/W combo to play against in the league.If I am Crosby, I want to go to a complete team that has some level of grit and two way play, so he can slide in and not have to try to make up for major deficits on the team he is going to. Montreal is the exception to that rule, but I think they are such a long shot it wouldnt have to be cup or bust if Crosby went there like it would be in Toronto.
Crosby centring Marchand on that 3rd line would be the ultimate depth scoring. I would kinda like to see it but just no haha.
Guess they are trying to keep it more interesting than the normal Montreal and Colorado talk. But really the rangers. Now there’s a bad take.
I don’t know much about the ownership side and if fsg is doing a good job but it seems like they are willing to spend on coaches, scouts, etc. at least ride fsg’s pockets out till we draft McKenna and DuPont and we are golden for 21 more years.
