Absolutely agree — at some point they have to give Bedard more support. I do think Davidson will add to the top six next summer, because he knows Bedard can’t carry the load forever.
Any thoughts as to which UFA(s) Kyle may bring in next summer?
Perhaps Kyle thinks of Vlasic as more of a veteran than a young pup? With his 179 NHL games under his belt and learned a lot from the vet d-men on last season’s squad, Kyle may see him as someone who can help guide the boys that are just getting their feet on the NHL sheet.

Wondering if Kyle enters the chat for Carey Price’s contract. Brossoit for Price + 2026 conditional pick perhaps? Habs are currently $4.8 million over the cap. Swapping Price for Brossoit would get the Habs $3 mil under the cap so they’d still have room to play with down the line. Also nets them a solid goalie if he returns to playing in 25-26. For Hawks, they get something in return for Brossoit and let their problem become the Habs’ problem while absorbing Price’s contract.
Lardis has a huge challenge of transitioning to AHL and its physicality. He has not done well in physical games like vs London for example and will have a bullseye on his back for that reason until he overcomes it. Many skilled guys do not overcome it though hence why he’s further down the list given his stats vs OHL boys or labeled a “wild card”.
I will say I’m a bit surprised to see Korchinski so high on the prospect rankings. He’s not really moved the needle and should be relegated back to Rockford again this season along with Arty.
