It’s going to be an absolute bloodbath on the secondary ticket market tonight.
You can already get a seat for under $100, and it’s 10 am.

If you are looking to take in a Leafs game, tomorrow night is the one to target.
There’s still a jillion tickets for sale, and if the Jays win tonight, it’s going to be an even better buyers’ market.
As always, wait until 6 pm on game day, then pounce.
Expecting a lot more people to be focused on the Jays tomorrow if they make the series 2-1?
Just judging by clothing on the street, the Jays still hold a lot of attention. I saw a lot of Jays hats on my way to work this morning.
I think a large portion of Jays fans are bandwaggoners (myself included these past few years). If they win tonight, the hype and hope will ramp back up.

Smallest contingent of 48h Highlanders I have seen in the last 30 years of home openers.
I can’t help but think it is a sad harbinger of things to come.

The home opener is my New Year’s Eve. This will be my 29th in a row (excluding work stoppages and COVID).
Leaving with my daughter in five minutes – gotta get there early to see the 48th Highlanders!
FYI, still a pooptonne of tickets available for tonight’s game.
Still no bargains, but start checking around 3 pm.
I know that everyone says that The Game is the best hockey book ever written, but his sequel Home Game: Hockey Life in Canada is even better.
