You’re right about the need for more support behind Bedard. When you play teams like the Leafs or Panthers, you have to match both of their top lines — and that makes things complicated. For me, Nazar is the key to driving the second line, and the second pairing on defense will also be a big factor.
Looking ahead, there’s a lot to be excited about this season. If Moore stays, he brings even more speed, which makes the bottom six stronger. One thing I’ll be watching this week is how Blashill manages the third and fourth lines.

You’re absolutely right. What I really like is how every young prospect is working hard to earn a spot — and honestly, they’ve exceeded my expectations. Mr. Ricochet, you’re absolutely right about this one. I had to cover other games live, but I went back and watched it late last night — and that third period was fantastic. This is the kind of game we didn’t see much of last season, when the Hawks only managed two comeback wins in the third. If they can keep bringing that energy and excitement, fans are going to enjoy the ride a whole lot more this year.
