Welcome to HHS, and thanks for jumping into the forum! ???? It’s definitely possible the Blackhawks push to sign him early to secure the long-term benefits, while Knight might prefer to wait and see before committing.

Thanks a lot for the feedback ???? I try to bring more than the usual surface-level talk and give fans real context and details. Glad you enjoyed the deeper dive! Once the games get going, I’ll have plenty of video highlights and updates coming your way. Appreciate your support!

    Happy Hump Day, everyone!

My new article will be released later this morning: “Where Does Spencer Knight Fit in the Goalie Market?”

I’d really appreciate some feedback. It’s a longer piece with several tables and a lot of detail — I wanted to dig deeper into how we evaluate goaltender contracts. Since I’m still fairly new to HHS and covering the Blackhawks, I’d love to hear what readers are looking for: do you prefer this kind of deeper dive, or something a little lighter?

As the season gets closer, I’ll also be delivering content like video breakdowns, game highlights, and situational analysis. For now, I hope this one gives a clear picture of how Knight’s next contract could take shape.

Thanks for taking the time to read and share your thoughts — I’m really grateful to be part of the HHS community. Enjoy your day!

First of all, I found out today his name is actually Roman Kancerov, confirmed on the KHL website.

    Game 2 stats: TOI 16:57 — 5-on-5: 12:40, PP: 2:46, PK: 1:31. He finished with 0 points, -1, and 1 SOG.
    Game 1 stats: TOI 19:00 — 5-on-5: 13:00, PP: 6:00. Again, 0 points and -1.

It’s clear his coach is giving him a lot of ice time and trusting him in all situations. Meanwhile, Frondell hasn’t started his season yet, and it looks like he’s lining up with Eklund again.

I saw that post too on X: Dravecky was born in the USA and holds dual citizenship with Czechia and the U.S. He played with Rögle BK last season, showing strong skating, speed on the rush, and good transition play.

He had a solid year in the J20 with 16 points in 37 games, and right now he’s ranked as a second-round prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft, projected between 40th and 55th overall. Definitely a player to watch next season.

It’s not yet confirmed if he’ll play in the SHL. Reports suggest he doesn’t want to return to the J20, and if he doesn’t land in the SHL, the OHL could be a better path for his development.

Thanks for your kind words, I really appreciate it. You’re right — things always start slow, but the fun is coming with the Hawks prospects this weekend at the Kurvers. I’m excited to cover it and keep building with all of you. Hockey talk is always better when we share it together!

I expect Oliver Moore to be with the big club — he has everything Bashill is looking for. Lardis, on the other hand, will likely need a full year in the AHL. I’ll be watching closely to see how he adjusts to the speed and physicality of the pro game. Still, I really like his game.

The article is up. I watched Kantserov in his first game — he logged 19 minutes, finished with no points and a minus-1, but overall played a solid game. He completed 76.19% of his passes and, despite his smaller size, he’s really fun to watch.
