ParticipantDefinitely Foligno, Dickinson or Lafferty won’t be here next year.
I can see Kantserov and Frondell on the team next year replacing 2 of Foligno, Angie and Lafferty. IMO that 3rd spot will be given to an overpaid veteran forward, maybe on a 2 year deal, to eat up some cap space. Can’t ice a team with 8 to 10 guys on ELC’s for both cap floor requirements and the need for some veterans.
Vanacker, Spellacy, maybe Boisvert at the Rock next year. Behm committed to Arizona State next season. Nestrasil likely still in college next season. Also next year, West plays at Michigan State, probably for 2 years.

ParticipantLots of top end shooters in the Hawks’ prospect pool. Lardis may be the best, Kantserov, Frondell, Behm, Nestrasil and not quite in the same league but very very good is Vanacker.
I know your talking prospects but that kid Bedard has a pretty good shot too.

Slaggert just appears to be a tweener AHL/NHL. I’ve been a fan of his since his first game when he put an opponent picking on our guys in a headlock during a scrum.January 4, 2026 at 11:59 pm #58081BetweenTheDots

ParticipantThat’s why I’m excited about the Blackhawks rebuild, it won’t be long before we have more talent from player 1 to player 19 dressing each night for the Blackhawks.
I don’t expect Dach and Slaggert to be part of the team two years from now.

ParticipantThe US lost to Billington in the 4 nations. Billington. US is gooning it up in an Olympic/IIHF event. They won’t last long. It’ll be another hotel destruction like the 2006 Olympics in Turin.
