Money aside, Rossi doesn’t make much sense for the long term goal. We still have Coots and Cates, who they won’t let walk away. Realistically they sign Cates to a 2/3 year deal which helps the bottom 6. Now in that timeframe Jett comes up and on top of that if they take a center this draft. And then add Rossi into that? It doesn’t add up for the long term plan. Ideally they take one of the left over bigger centers in Desnoyers or Frondell and the rest falls into place from there. Either way though none of these names still are a true #1 C maybe in a perfect world if the development is perfect Desnoyers if we get lucky and land him.
