We’re one of the smallest teams in the league, plus I’m not a big fan of this kid, but he is definitely skilled and we need centers.
Can you imagine, if they make all seven picks in rounds one and two. I can’t think of any franchise who’s done something like that in recent memory. Even Bill Armstrong and the Coyotes organization didn’t amass that many picks in any one draft, although, in 2021 – 2022 – 2023 they drafted six times in the round one and six times in round two. This could change the direction of the franchise if they hit on even half of these picks.

This is probably the most excited I’ve been as a Flyers fan in quite some time. This could be the start of something really good for this organization. What is it, seven picks in the first two rounds? That’s an unbelievable opportunity. Not to mention, they have an extra first rounder in 2027 as well.
It’s not a question of goalie coach. It’s a question of better play in front of Ersson combined with Ersson needing to cut down the two-week slumps that kill his GAA and save percentage because he gets pulled several times in that span. Has had a couple of those every year. But also has month-plus stretches of playing very well.
Not sure how quoting works on this site, other than to copy and paste and then add the b-quote from above? Anyways, Tortorella is the only coach Erssons’ ever had, so hopefully a fresh start away from him and his systems will do him well, also, they’re riding him too much, he needs less games at this point early in his career. Playing better is also part of it.
With 8 picks in the first two rounds I can’t remember being this excited for the organization in a very long time. This is an important summer in rebuilding the team from within. I don’t expect immediate results from these kids, but rather, building a foundation the organization can rely on for many years to come.
Barkey had himself a great Memorial Cup tournament, even with an injury. Be interesting to see how he does at the pro level in the AHL.
This is a huge off-season for the organization, they need to start building something special here and it starts with the draft. I know there’s a lot of moving parts to success but most every successful, winning, team it starts with drafting a core. Center ice is a HUGE weakness within the organization.
I think we’re headed in the right direction now, here’s to hoping. This is a big summer for the organization, don’t we have something like eight picks in the first two rounds?
I’ve gotta ask myself, why does it seem that Minnesota is so desperately trying to rid themselves of Rossi. Is he a flawed player in their minds?

I just don’t see that happening, unless they get extremely luck and win the lottery, assuming they’re bottom 10 or 11 finish or whatever it is to allow them to move up enough spots.
It depends on their expectations for next season. Do they want to lay a foundation here through the draft, or do they want to be as competitive as they can come hell or high water?
Still learning to navigate the site as I transition over from HB. Hoping this is a big success Bill.
