ParticipantLike the Joshua Tree.
Our left side is massive: just giant hunks of man flesh… McManly, Joshua Tree, Lorentz, Knies.

ParticipantNice trade. Reaves out and a young dman in
Cap hit only a $1Yup, surprised we even got anything back to be honest.
I’ll take it. Our prospects pool is thin so this should help a bit.

ParticipantAnd Nylander’s “stop bitching bro” the year prior.
Two years of this nonsense, that’s how long Bitch Marner was jerking everyone around.
Good riddance.
Plan the parade, 2026. Book it.
Not sure who he was referencing, but I hope it was about himself as well, matthews has been a disappointment in the playoffs as much as mitch
Yeah, for sure, but he was also hurt all of last year.
The Marner Saga is over thankfully, and we can move on.

ParticipantBitch Marner cancels his charity golf tournament for “uncertain summer plans”, but yet Hyman’s still running his with a broken wrist, even though he can’t play.
Fuck Marner. Good riddance.

ParticipantGuy, he bounced on his own accord. He didn’t want to play here. Boo hoo. Move on. Christ.
Incorrect. Moron fans pushed him as the scapegoat, management walked him out the door and the media, who owns the team, ran narrative cover for it. He did not leave because he preferred to leave. If he wanted to leave earlier, he would have left a long, long time before it got to July 1st. Even on the way out, he facilitated a trade. He could have given them the finger, signed a 4 year deal and been a UFA at 32 all over again. He didn’t do that. The narrative of him “not wanting to play here” is the equivalent of Leafs fans bullshitting themselves into saying “you can’t fire me because I quit” as a massive cope to losing an elite two-way player for basically a dick on a stick.
You’re not happy unless you’re losing.
This statement makes zero sense because this is the biggest loss the Leafs have had since maybe Sittler. You still waiting for Rich Costello to pan out? Did Peter Ihnacak bring the Cup home? That’s a giant L. And you’re the one that’s happy about it, not me. Seems like you’re one of the many that loves it when the Leafs lose which is exactly what they’ll continue to do as they pave paradise and put up a parking lot.
You’re a loser dude. You have been for 10 years you’ve been lingering around, laying turds all over every forum you visit. Nobody agrees with you, nobody likes you, you’re a pariah, a troll, and a downer. Sports are fun, it’s entertainment, none of this matters, so lighten up Francis.

ParticipantI do love how the Leafs management, media and fans ran a guy out of town because he “disappeared in the playoffs”, despite having more career playoff points than everybody on the team, but they’re going to bring in a guy with 3 playoff goals in 45 career playoff games and pretend it’s a good move.
So dismal was Roslovic in the playoffs even the Carolina Hurricanes, the ultimate work by committee team, threw him to the curb to replace him with Ehlers at double the price, another player with playoff numbers that scream meh.
Roslovic is more of the same garbage that guarantees the Leafs will not succeed in the playoffs.
Guy, he bounced on his own accord. He didn’t want to play here. Boo hoo. Move on. Christ. You’re not happy unless you’re losing.

Friedman: “One other guy that I think the Leafs are in on is Jack Roslovic”This guy really flew under the radar, but he has a history with AM34, fits the age group, probably due for a raise but not too much from his 2.8M. Right shot, can play center and wing. I like it.

NHL agent Allan Walsh says he projects the salary cap to be around $120M for 2027-2028.That’s an increase of about $25M on the current cap ($95.5M).
If true, getting players locked in to long-term contracts (6+ years) now will give teams a major advantage.
Plenty of room for Kadri.
gravyface
ParticipantYeah. I’ve been getting nothing but errors – even not quoting.
My point at the time was simply that if you look at the ages and terms of the guys on this team – Tavares, Tanev, McCabe, Rielly, OEL – it doesn’t seem like Kadri would be a stretch. It looks a lot like they’ve set our window realistically in the next 4 years or so.
I also don’t think that Jenner is a strong fit given that he’s 32, hasn’t played more than 70 games since before COVID and the last time he had over 50 points was a decade ago. I like his physicality, but if I’m going to get an overaged centre, I’d aim for Kadri. That said I would also be very in on O’Reilly.
Yes guy.
Kadri all day. Depending on how the deal shakes out, we may get them to retain cap space too for taking on age 38/39 of that contract.

Participant1st round exit as a Wild Card team.
one round in the chamber, graveyard exit for Uggie.

ParticipantYeah, buggy: got an “Error: Your reply cannot be created at this time.” with the same text as above, but probably nested quotes which it doesn’t handle well.
gravyface
ParticipantI also think that, for the amount of posters on here, there should just be a thread per blog post. I liked that. We still could stray from the topic at hand, but at least we all were in the same place for a few days.

ParticipantTest – is there a character limit now?
It is a tad buggy. I always wish the formatting was better: tighter columns, more contrast between quotes and replies, fonts in general I’m not a fan of.

ParticipantI just don’t get it: we’ve been watching this same core 4 shit the bed over and over and over again, to the point where we’re (still) the laughing stock of the league, just a different brand of Maple Laffs.
We move Marner and get a serviceable 3C and our center depth is as good as it has been in years. We land a young playmaker with lots of upside for peanuts. Our D is still very good, our goaltending is still very good… we have cap space, the GM isn’t signing terrible UFA deals, and we’re in really good shape to make a trade for a bonefide top 6 winger especially if we can move out Kampf and Reaves and have all summer to do it.
Some of you just want to be miserable.
