I fully admit I know nothing about these kids. That being said, I’m not a big fan of drafting brothers that perform as a tandem. Just like RW is saying, what happens when one of these guys isn’t playing on the same level as his brother? I was listening to Jesse Marshall’s x-cast (or whatever it’s called) last night and it seemed like he had to sell himself on these guys. Called them a project. On the positive, he said a future line of Kindel and Ruck brothers could be pretty sick. All of them think the game at high levels.

On another note… The Pens have 38 mil of cap space this year and 87 mil the following year. I’m not sure how they spend that money when we really don’t have any home grown talent that deserves it. The transition is right around the corner.

Wasn’t sure anybody still came here lol. Hoping Dubas continues down the path of building our thin system. This team IS NOT a contender. Just a gut feel, but I could easily see EK heading to OTT at some point in the next week.

It’s funny how we heard all those rumors about not wanting to play for another coach when many nights they barely showed up for Sully. EK basically admitted him and Sully didn’t see eye to eye. Yohe mentioned something last year about Sully riding EK constantly. If you told me we’d get two serviceable players and a 2nd round pick for Tristan Jarry with no money retained, I’d tell you to seek rehab. Look at that snipe from Chinakov…. dear Lord!

Dubas is having a hell of a year. Everybody pegged this team as bottom 5. I’m not saying this is real contender, but they have an “it” factor. We haven’t seen contributions from all 4 lines since those 2 cups. I still can’t believe the Jarry deal.

I’m turning into a big Dubas fan. He hit the Jarry trade out of the park. Jarry would be a great in a 1a/1b situation, but he’s never shown to be a true #1 tender. He’s had good streaks which were usually followed by an injury and some bad streaks. Agree entirely on the flips of Kulak and Skinner. The Pens will likely get three pretty good assets out of a shaky goal tender that most thought was a buy-out candidate.

It’s a shame the buzz crew didn’t really make it here. Only a handful. Ek really burned that place to the ground. I’m still popping in from time to time, but they need to consolidate the forum/comment section with the main page. Anyway, there’s been some reporting in Pittsburgh that McG looks like a different player this year. His skating is stronger. Also, he won’t be spending much time in the AHL. They intend to bring him up pretty quickly. Hopefully he sticks because this team needs wings….badly.

I thought the Pens started to wear down in the third, but the bugaboo of blowing 3rd period leads has returned from last year. The depth at wing is noticeable without Rak and Braz. Koiv still can’t find the net. This is turning into a much more interesting year than I thought. Seems like the team has the fortitude to compete every night. Just missing a two or three parts to make it a real playoff team.

I’m here Pags66. Way to F us like that hahaha

Pens played a perfect f’n game of hockey for 40 mins. Sucks to lose that one but I do think this team has a different feel to it, for sure, and they will learn from this. Jarry had to save a few of those. If he does, Pens win.

Not my fault tonight, I refrained from posting a damn thing after last game haha.

Thought we were going to blow another one. Kept hitting the post all night and couldn’t put them away.

I gotta say… Those experts who said Kindel can’t skate look like fools. He’s not Mackinnon or anything, but he’s plenty fast enough.

Pens need wings. Rust is fading. Rak out another 6+ weeks. Koiv isn’t doing much. Hallander isn’t top 6. Unfortunately we had to call up Heinen instead of a young prospect. I’d rather see Avery Hayes get a look.
