Thirty years ago today, we said goodbye to the Forum
Habs will honour this momentous occasion by playing an away game in Ottawa.
Slovakia gonna be playing for a medal, which is not something I thought I would see… but the fall of Sweden in the round robin gave them a much easier / cleared path.
Surprised they did not pull Slaf from the game, after what looked like a head injury.
Hopefully he is 100%.

Another good game for Slaf – 1 assist, 7 shots, asked to defend last few minutes on a 6V5 to get the win.
They don’t seem to track hits and stuff like that… hard enough to find a decent boxscore anywhere.
Hmmm… the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Jordan Kyrou with CC and Suzuki.
Decent defensively, still only 27, averaged over 30+ goals the last 4 years, signed to a managable $8.1M til 30-31.
Been lots of talk – on and off – about him to MTL (mostly last summer).
Add Kyrou and subtract Laine and I think you have something really good there for the long-term…
I think that is my dream trade for the Habs.
(This should be posted in time for the NHL return after the Olympic break).
I think they are trying to punish us for only using 1 thread by making it a super long 1 pager with even slower loading/posting.
Another decent game for Dach.
Maybe there is hope for him, if he does not blow out a knee or get an arm amputated before the playoffs.
If Dach keep getting better game by the game, not sure Laine will see ice this year, unless traded.
He looked really good with Evans and filled in pretty well on the top line against the Sabres.
