So I was just thinking about 2C and how trading for one is looking difficult, but what if we signed Mikael Granlund and traded for Peterka. I asked ChatGPT about the line and it seems to think Demidov would be a good C. I believe elite prospects has come to the same conclusion from watching his play.

JJ Peterka brings finishing ability, speed, and puck skills that mesh well with Granlund’s playmaking IQ and Demidov’s controlled two-way center play.
Together, they could form a well-rounded, high-danger line effective in both primary scoring and defensive stability.

Just a thought…..weed and boredom lead to deep thoughts lol

I honestly think Granlund is the option they are looking at, he has been my low cost “fill in” ’til they can get something better down the line guy. This seems low risk to me, for 2-3 years, and he can move down to the 3rd line later.

And I do think it makes sense they look for an upgrade on the wing for that second line, leaving Newhook and Dach to fight out for playing time on the 3rd line.

But I have a feeling we will end up with a second line addition (either a winger or a center) and a veteran RHD instead.

Seems to be limited, tried to respond to a long set of quotes from the previous page but would not post it (even though it acted like it was going to post).

    Regardless, good change/update.

ya, I tried to quote AND add a GIF, did not work

    Still, some welcomed progress.

That is cool compared to what we had the last few days.

Man up, put some ice on your junk, and drink water.

    You will be fine.

maybe the plan in VAN is simply to flip him at the deadline.

I hope the Habs are passed the point of looking for deals to just flip at the deadline.

Was cool while it lasted, but I am ready to move on.

Not out of patience, by any means, just want to keep moving forward.

(Last thing we want is a Buffalo situation! LOL)

there aren’t any insects outside. it’s too hot for the bugs.

Then I suspect the small children and Pat are also in danger.

Not too bad today, have the windows open and enjoying the fresh (warmish) air, slight breeze coming into the office, about 85.

I can deal with this, not terrible.

While not “Hollywood”, I think my first crush was Debbie Harry.

Then probably Olivia Newton John, when I saw Grease at the drive in way back in ’78.

from Vancouver’s perspective it sure doesn’t sound like the kind of guy they need in the locker room loll.

They had such a terrible locker room last year, between Miller and Pettersson – why not find new ways to keep that going?

Like I said, better them than us!

    Pat questioned:

I know it’s Evander Kane, but isn’t just a 4th a rather poor return for EDM? jebus.

Oilers need cap space, Canucks took on 100% of cap, I’m surprised they got a 4th out of the deal especially given how injured he has been, TBH.

Still do not understand why the Canucks helped the Oilers, because I do not think they helped themselves.

    Whatever… better them than us.

Could be, they could also not pan out they will have very quiet summer and build from within. The HuGo administration has been pretty good at not having any leaks.

    Big fan of this.

Yes, but it was also a holiday here.

I mean, as in this morning.

    Has been dead in here…

Also, things have been pretty quiet about the Habs (except that they are talking to a lot of teams), which has me thinking something is up.
