Participantwhy don’t you write about a topic you want to discuss?
I agree w/ Boilermaker.
As people get more familiar with the comment section quirks, the more activity there will be.
Helping newer members figure it out will help increase the hockey content.Metalhead
ParticipantOk dreamers, time to start the countdown to July 1st:
Frank Seravalli @frank_seravalli 3h
Sources say #mnwild superstar Kirill Kaprizov’s camp turned down an extension offer believed to be 8-years, $128 million
in a meeting on Tuesday in Minnesota that would have made him the highest-paid player in #NHL history in both AAV ($16 million) and total dollars.Metalhead
ParticipantSeems to be happening to me. Perhaps there’s a lag?
You have to highlight the text you want to quote, even if you want to quote the entire post.

ParticipantAgree it’s even more rare and risky with a goalie.
I believe they bought 5 years of free agency, so that is a factor in the price tag.September 9, 2025 at 1:32 pm in reply to: Brossoit: The Two Canadiens Players You Want to Believe In #26083Metalhead
ParticipantThat is a lot of money for 71 games played on a goalie.
Or, I guess genius, if it works out and he continues to get better.
I think there will be more of these signings with the cap increase.
Pay for future production, avoid problem negotiations down the road, wipe out offer sheet potential.
Chicago did this recently w/ Nazar.Awesome if you’re right, ruinous if you pay the wrong youngster(s).

Participantdid he play bad at the end? he was doing awesome when i fell asleep.
Caleb? His stat line was okay, nothing to get excited about. I did not watch any of it, I bailed on the NFL years ago.
As Gramps ominously made reference to, the Vikings rookie QB became the
first player in NFL history to account for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of his NFL debut.September 9, 2025 at 9:07 am in reply to: Brossoit: The Two Canadiens Players You Want to Believe In #26019Metalhead

ParticipantHere’s a comment I made to a Frenchy article about Bertuzzi:
Bertuzzi was a “do something” signing.
He was an erratic knucklehead all season, same as he’s always been.
It’s tough to say this about a $5.5mm player, but they need to put him in the right situations so he can succeed.
He needs to remain on the PP, because he does create some confusion around the net.
But for heaven’s sake, keep him off Bedard’s line.
Just in his time w/Bedard before Xmas, I saw him fail to finish a good 7 or 8
open looks Bedard served him. Whiffed, shanked, missed the net, or shot into the goalie’s chest, he did it all.Any improvement he makes from last year would be like finding money on the sidewalk.
