ParticipantI think the expectations that have been set for Demidov might be too high for the upcoming season, for various reasons.
Primarily, he is a rookie playing his first 82 game season, and then at the NHL level. Also, I do not think he will be playing with ideal linemates, as the second line is in flux.
HE should benefit from Power play time, though.
Long-term, I have very high hopes, but this upcoming season, if he can manage 20-25 G / 25-35 A for somewhere in the 50-55Pts range, that will be a huge success.
Yeah!

Participantof course, I hope they get a legit lefthanded center, whoever they feel is a good fit and available. I don’t care much, but that centerline needs help if they want to do better than last season.
Hughes will not make a trade just to make a trade. The trade has to help the team and makes sense.
I think it has more chance to happen the closer we get to december and january. Thats when they got Carrier last season as well. With Demidov, Dobson and Bolduc, this is a better team than last season. No Dvorak does not change that.
They should be fine unless Suzuki goes down early and for a while. This is not a cup contender in 2025-2026 so our god damn GM might be more patient than the fans.
Hage is the one I want to see sooner than later with the Habs, but it cant happen if you trade him.

ParticipantROR, that’s an easy one. experience, leadership, plays on both sides of the puck, lefthanded, 2y left on his deal I think? gives us time to find a long term solution, Hage or other
Ok but would you trade for Zacha if that would be an option?
The question was not so much who would you rather have but if fans in here would like to have one of them if they could.
I dont think Boston would trade with the Habs but you never know.
Otherwise I agree with you on ROR but Zacha might be an option as well.
