The fuck are the Kings doing? Petry to Florida. Also not sure WTF Yzerman is doing but have it. Cause fuck the Wings

    Petry at 775k, holly !

He has a shot at the cup next season and maybe one last big contract at the end of it. Smart move for everybody even if I know some fans like to hate him. I dont.

RHP in PIT. good luck kid!

    Good luck to him indeed.

At some point, guys like Roy or Kapanen may face the same problem. Beck and Xhekaj are pushing. They traded for Bolduc so I guess they like him. Hague will come as well sooner rather than later.

I looked at a reel of all of Bolduc’s goals last year, he has a great shot. 80% of them where from center of the ice high slot with either a one timer or a wrister. Looks like he’s great at fiding the open ice to make himself open.
I think he might fit in well with Demidov who likes to skate with the puck and create plays.
I don’t think Laine will be a great fit, too static and whoever they will be centered by won’t be a selke nominee for sure. You need another winger that can play the 200 foot game and I think Bolduc is more capable in that department or otherwise. I think Demidov, Dach, Laine is too much of a liability.

I saw the same thing … the puck doesn’t stay long on his stick, boom and it’s in the net.
Like you, I could see him working well eventually with Demidov as their styles are complimentary … Bolduc also brings in that 200 foot game (physical aspect/puck retrieval/forechecking).
The more I watch videos of Bolduc, the more I like his play … he seems like a stubborn dog on a bone. ????
Great replacement for Heineman with a lot more upside IMO.

As for Laine, I don’t see him being with the team once his contract is up at the end of the season … he barely moves out there, his only asset is his shot and the opponents know it.
He’s way too expensive for what he brings (PP specialist only).

At least a guy like Dach could look at anderson and try to play more like him. Its not like we could not use that in the playoffs.

When it comes to Laine, he is lethal on the power play but not so good on 5 on 5. Is that the guy we want in our bottom 6? I mean he would add skills in there, but at that point I would rather have a guy like Owen Beck and or Florian Xhekaj on the 4th line.

Guys, for the last few years, I have been more interested / excited about the changes / moves / development HuGo and team were doing.

But cone this October, I think I genuinely will be more exited about watching the games than I have been in years.

Demidov will be something to watch all by himself. Yes even if Dach or Newhook is the centre he plays with.

Dobson will make this team better. Remember how much Carrier made this team better? Dobson will have a much bigger impact and I like Carrier.

Slaf and Hutson will only keep growing as players. I expect we will see Reinbacher sooner rather than later.

This is a very young team and some players will have to fight at camp to make this team. As it should be.

Is it a contract year for them?

    Fuuuuck you!

But yes! Contract year! For both!

I am curious to see how Laine and Dach will be this coming season. Both came into camp last year either not in shape or still recovering. Both are expected to come in 100% this year….

also, both will be in a contract year.

You saw the $$ centres were getting on the open market. Hughes is right not to go with this madness.

Also, Hughes knows this team is not a cup contender next season. He made a big trade for Dobson, but dont expect him to solve everything all at once. I think he said something about that idea as well.

We dont know how a guy like Bolduc will look up front, he may be a good fit on the other wing with Demidov. Or bring some skills and grit on that bottom 6.

Guys like Newhook and Dach have contrats and are still on this team as speak. They both can play centre and st-louis might need them to do just that.

Maybe Hughes can make a trade later this summer, he has done that in the past. Or he can start with this team and see how it goes. More teams could be open to trade around US thanks guiving and near the trade deadline.

If you want to make a trade, you need somebody to trade with. Never forget that part.

Laine on the 4th line it is!

If they can move that contract, that could be nice.

I disagree, both Newhook and Dach are much better looking than Dovrak. Pretty much anybody is.

    not at winning faceoffs

No gonna lie, I think that contract for Armia is very fair, one of the better signings this year.

He probably still has some ok hockey in him but he’s on the back 9 of his career for sure.

I’m just curious to see if the Habs will trade for a 2/3 center before season starts

Half the league is looking for a 2nd line centre

After Suzuki, they have Dach, Newhook, Evans and Beck that can play at centre. Those are probably mtl centres for next season. At least to start the season. Bolduc is a winger at this point.

Maybe at some point they try Demidov as a C, but Hughes said it was not his plan to start the season.
