this team needs grit a lot more than goals imo

oh the goal scoring is fine, they need proper goaltending right now lol…

my point is it’s okay to call up an energy player, but he needs to be able to follow the NHL pace. I thought the reason they were calling him a “unicorn” is that he’s able to bring physicality while also contributing on the scoreboard, but if he can’t do that in the AHL, it’s gonna be very difficult to do so at an even higher level.

my guess is they called him up because he can play center, while Dach and Newhook are out, and Evans is also banged up.

and not a minute too soon.
    GO HABS GO!

yeah, well I know they aren’t calling him up necessarily for his offensive input, but the kid has 4 pts in 16 games in the AHL so far this year, jebus.

it’s not just the goalies. the team is not playing well perdiod.
and againts a big and tough team like WASH, you leave your only 2 dmen who can play physical on the bench. except for the last 2 min of course when you’re down 7-4. how are they supposed to learn and get better sitting on the bench?

oh I get all that, and things definitely aren’t perfect, just saying that the team’s woes are being amplified by sub-par goaltending, with average performances in net then it wouldn’t look as bad.

    lol
yeah, I guess it’s safe to say

yeah, if back in the day when Price was playing people were saying that he was masking the team’s flaws, with the current goaltending they’re getting I think the opposite is happening, and they’re surely better than this damn slump they’re going through…

Been watching since 88. Not stoping now. But they sure make it hard a lot of the time over the years.

you’re acting like they’re supposed to win the cup this year, relax.

they’re literally the youngest team in the league, and they still have pieces missing. they definitely aren’t there yet…

This team is brutal. Giving up 8 after getting smashed 7-0 not long ago? Embarrassing.

you don’t have to watch lol

They ever gonna win a game again? Can score 3/4 goals rather consistently and continue to lose. Absolutely brutal right now. Poor defending and atrocious goaltending.

    totally embarrassing!!

Doesn’t matter if he didn’t play. He shouldn’t have been there. Thompson had a better year than him by a country mile and was kept off for Monty. Won’t be doing that nonsense again I’m certain.

bah, qualifying the decision concerning a third goalie as “embarrassing” is a bit much, whatever.

The fact this dude was even with the National team is embarrassing.

oh stop, he didn’t even play a game, jebus.

    Very unreliable.

he may give a weak goal here and there but he usually at least gives his team a chance to win, and now he’s unreliable.

we’ll never agree on this, and it’s fine. I just hope for the habs that he finds his game soon, as I highly doubt he’s become permanently damaged goods either.

he’s NEVER in front of the net on the PP. NEVER.
that’s the only way he could be usefull on the PP imo.

oh, for the PP specifically… yeah I guess adjustments could be made lol.
