I like that trade for mtl a lot, but I really wonder what that 2nd line will look like next season. The off season is young I guess
tbh I really thought the roomers were false and that Darche would keep him and sign him long term, but I’m sure happy to have been wrong, especially considering Hughes didn’t have to trade away a top prospect or anything to acquire him… very impressive.

having a Dobson-Schaefer pairing sure sounds like a darn good idea as well…
Dobson is 25 and is a skilled, complete right-handed dman who has barely started his prime, even if the Isles are rebuilding it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to trade him imho.
I think there were roomers about Dobson wanting out, which would be the only logical explanation, but whether this is true or not remains to be seen lol

it’s odd because I keep hearing how it isn’t a very deep draft, and yet the descriptions I’m reading about the players in the projected top 20 all sound very promising…
