ParticipantMaybe I will post it as a separate thread, it is pretty long.
are you gonna get your Hockey Hotstove credentials and alternate with Hugo as a habs blogger..? š

ParticipantAs much as people expect Hughes to trade one or both picks for immediate help, the closer to the draft we get, the less I think it happens and we end up drafting players.
yeah, I wouldn’t be disappointed if the habs did end up keeping both picks, as they could very well be adding decent prospects to the mix even if they aren’t top 10, but I do expect Hughes to use one of them in a trade to help with the team’s current needs… we’ll see š

ParticipantI will admit, I am surprised by his first season.
To your point, size, inexperience and the ārookie wallā that lots of NCAA players hit in the second half of the season had me wondering if he was better off in Laval for the first part of the season.
I am pretty excited to see how he and Demidov work together, they both seem like rink rats and love to work on their game.
Should be exciting next year.
this summer and the draft should also be exciting times for habs nation heading into next season, can’t wait to see what kind of deals Hughes will be able to make…

ParticipantPretty sure that would be a first in NHL history.

ParticipantI donāt want to overhype it but Iām pretty sure winning back-to-back Calder is a good indication your rebuild is going the right way. haha.
Iām already planning the parade in 2029.
yup, especially when you consider that this year was a defenseman, and next season could potentially be a forward who wins it…
could Fowler win it the year after, for a three-peat…? ????
Pat1993
ParticipantGood blog as usual, Hugo.
Wasnāt aware that back-to-back Calder wins were such a rare occurence, the last time being the Booins with Orr and Sanderson in 67 and 68⦠would be pretty cool if Demidov wins it next year ????

ParticipantI think either Bill or Mike needs to approuve the āofficialā thread when you link it directly to a blogā¦. I guess it should pop up during the day. xD
yup, same for when you post a “thought” under a blog, mine is awaiting moderation lol…

ParticipantWell the REM (which is the electric train that brings me from the suburbs to my office in the city) stopped working and I wasted 2 hours of my life so your prediction wasnāt wrong.
Also: New blog! But I guess the forums donāt generate a new thread whenever the blog is written.
don’t worry, it’s all going to be fixed soon, just like that update on HB…
