Neither one of these teams are at par with the Atlantic Division. There’s no passion or intensity to speak of. The Metro was really a 2 team race all year. Ottawa had a better record than 3rd place New Jersey. I found game 1 to be almost unwatchable.
Dubas also drafted more midgets than Snow White in her prime. Especially defensemen. He also let Zack Hyman leave and signed some very suspect goaltenders. He was also gifted Nylander, Matthews and Marner in the draft, while being an apprentice to Lou Lamorello.

For the all of the angst against Matthews, he’s cancelling out the Barkov line. Barkov is a great defensive and offensive player. His wingers are also top notch. Cancel that, you can win this series. The Leafs second line can break the games, due to no checking line against them. Our bottom 6 are solid. Patches is found money. Just have to stay the course. Probably will lose at least 1 in Florida, but if you can win 1 of 2, you have 3 chances to beat the Cup Champs. Not taking anything away from the Metro Division 2nd round, do you really think that either Washington or Carolina can match up to that? Just win. Take down Florida and you can make it to the finals.
Yes, but do you want to see a game 7 in this series? No thank you. Anything can happen. Steal one of the next 2, it’ll be difficult for Florida to come back.
My paranoid Karma thing is working like a charm. During the later part of the Ottawa series, I changed rooms to where I watch the games. I have a nice Next Gen TV that I like watching the games on, but once they lost a couple of games to Ottawa, I changed rooms and started watching in my media room. I watched game 1 of this series in that same media room. Tonight, I started watching the game on the Next Gen TV and they were down in the first. I decided to walk up the hall and back to the media room. They win this gut wrencher. I guess I’d better just camp in here for another month.
Best get ready for the push. They’ll be coming hard in the 3rd. Play some rope-a-dope and wait for them to make a mistake, then pounce. For all of the hate that was heaped on Scott Laughton, he’s showing what we get from Philly. This guy’s a warrior and the Leafs wouldn’t have as much of a chance, if it wasn’t for his play in critical situations.
After almost 5 periods of this kind of hockey and comparing it to that slop that we saw last night, between Carolina and Washington, no contest. The intensity is 10 fold in this series compared to the other series in the Metro.
It’s 8PM, maybe it’s wake up time. The last game started at 8. Let’s see if they turn it up a notch. Win this game and Florida will be chasing the series. The pressure would be immense on them if that were to happen.

The Oil is getting schooled so far tonight. Not sure if they can handle Vegas in this series. It’s looking more like Dallas coming out of the West.
If that’s the case, then why isn’t Fred Johnson doing something about it? He could make a statement or mention it in one of his Buzzcasts? It’s odd. Unless the perp has a way to block Ek from seeing what’s going on? You’d think someone had an avenue to correct this? Weird.
