Here’s a list of losses to current non-playoff teams.
NJD, CBJ, SEA, CHI, CBJ, WSH, SJS, WSH, NSH, SEA, FLA, OTT, PHI, NJD and NYR.
They also lost to VGK twice and since they’re “only” in the playoffs because they play weak teams so we’ll include them in the list.
Now imagine a Leafs team that wins those games. That’s 17 games they lost against “bad” teams. Even if they won only 10 of those games (or gained 20 points), that’s the difference between being dead last in the division and being 1st in the division.
Just a reminder, Marner had 7 GWGs last year. That’s not even his primary skill. He probably had at least another 7 GWG assists. It’s too bad retards in the fanbase, the media and management ran him out the door. Growing up I always heard stories about how Harold Ballard ruined the franchise. Marner would be #1 on the Leafs in assists, PP points and total points. Matthews also wouldn’t have a career worst 27 goals and 53 points either.

And AGAIN, too retarded to realize that the addition by subtraction (getting rid of Savard) is the real reason for the increase in production (and yet still losing games like crazy). Reality is, 66% of the PP being run by Berube and Lalonde with Steve Sullivan there to go on Tims runs.
Did you know the Marlies PP was operating at a 16% (22nd in the AHL) clip before he was hired? That’s not promoting somebody because of great success. That’s just calling up the next warm body. That’s why he wasn’t given full control of the PP; because he wasn’t qualified to actually run it and improve it. Credit to Berube and Lalonde for simplifying the PP but that’s, once again, eliminating the real source of the problem which was Savard.
Technically, Savard ran the 9th best PP in 2025 but the Leafs had elite talent that was scoring in spite of his stupid PP setup, not because of it which is why when things got tough in the playoffs, their PP looked useless (and failed to adjust) vs. Florida with only one PP goal the entire series. Much like how the Leafs PP is scoring now that the games don’t matter and will miss the playoffs. The “improved” Leafs PP is so powerful that it got a 60+ goal scorer that couldn’t score a PP goal for 10+ games. Not exactly utilizing their best weapon to it’s maximum potential.
Give Sullivan an acknowledgment that he is doing better job than the person he replaced for a green NHL coach.

Usually in your arrogant, disrespectful way, trying to show up anybody who has shown any support for Sullivan. Sullivan was promoted to work with Lalonde and “bring new ideas to the power play” You didn’t like the hire and shit on it right away because you know everything. TO date you have been absolutely wrong as the PP has been running at a rate that would have them in the top 10 of PP percentage since Sullivan has been involved. So no matter how many times you belligerently try to shove your opinion down our throats, to date it is incorrect or at the very least unfounded. It is your opinion and is blatantly proven wrong by the stats. Please note I am discussing Sullivan and the PP so moving the goal posts to “well the Leafs still are not winning” is just immature.
