Your forgot one other very important thing in why Marner is having the success he is now in Vegas (that he didn’t in Toronto):

He is now on a team where he is not part of the leadership group, virtually unknown outside of the rink, & is not expected to be one of the core group who will live or die based on the team’s success. He sits behind Mark Stone, Shea Theadore, Jack Eichel, Karlsson, Hanifin in that regard. Let’s call a spade a spade – he was in that position in Toronto and he (and the rest of the core) couldn’t deliver full stop.
