If he can get his skating to be able to keep up in the NHL, he’ll be so much fun to watch.
He is fucking slow for the OHL. Sucks……

ParticipantEvery time I hear the name Rantanen it reminds me that the biggest mistake Toronto has made in the last 2 years is not trade Mitch the Bitch before his NMC came in. He didn’t want to stay in Toronto because he could not handle the pressure, and then he blocked a trade because well he is a spoiled selfish little C who is afraid of his own shadow. Can’t blame him for being afraid though. He would break if he were ever hit hard.
Every time I see you post it reminds me how retarded the average Leafs fan is and how easily they believe total bullshit narratives created by the media to justify the complete idiocy of this franchise.
It also reminds me how just 3 games ago you were trying to justify that this team was actually playing well lately and could still make the playoffs. Pure make BeLeaf.
I already said it is quite possible that they miss the playoffs, I guess they were not playing better hockey 3 games ago? I guess Leafs would not be better with Rantanen? Keep changing the narrative buddy.

ParticipantNope no illusions, just trying to enjoy the wins and try to make it through the season without going to crazy. For the last few years it has been hard to trust and get excited about the success of the regular season. So not going to put much stock on this year’s results either. At this stage we have been spoiled with a fun exciting team to watch for several years so most fans are only concerned about the playoff results. Team is built much differently this year so won’t go overboard like you until I see what happens year end.
Shocked you were on here so shortly after a Leaf win. You usually only come on and bitch while shoving your opinions down our throats as facts.
Again no illusion. Leafs did better than the 2-2-1 you told us WOULD happen.

ParticipantJust read Leafs are 5-1-2 in their last 8 games. I had to actually go check NHL.com. I did not believe it after all the whining on here

ParticipantWould you take that deal for 34?
Rossi, Ohgren, Buium and 1st
I wouldn’t take that exact deal for Matthews because I’m not a big fan of those prospects however, the idea of four 1st round picks is very exciting. So, if the draft capital coming back to the Leafs is a young roster player, an elite prospect and two 1st round picks, maybe more because Matthews is the best goal scorer of this generation not named Ovechkin, that would be a great haul. Add to that what Nylander could fetch (again, at least one elite prospect, a 1st and a young roster player wouldn’t be out of the question) and that would be a fantastic boost to a rebuild of which I am already a big fan of.
Matthews + Nylander = two young roster players, two elite prospects and three 1st round picks.
If you play those cards right, you could end up with a rebuilt top-six (adding Knies and Cowan to that equation) and a rebuilt top-four (adding Danford to that equation) and they would all be under 25 and cost you very little cap space for the next 5 years.
Yes of course, because it is the norm for teams to hit on all 7 and have them all turn out to be top 6 forwards and top 4 D.

If we were a tire fire like the Canucks I would seriously consider it

ParticipantWhat kind of a loser watches a team they don’t like in hopes of them losing rather than watch their man crush on their new team? Right up there with being a sens fan.
