What an addition to our wonderful stable of sub-900 goaltenders
all these signings are good if we want a 1C next draft

Participant<p data-userway-font-size=”13″ style=”font-size: 16px !important; transition: all;” data-userway-s4-bigger-text-styled=”true”>with 4 2nd round picks how on earth do you not swing for a high risk/high reward type in Ryabkin
<p data-userway-font-size=”12″ style=”font-size: 15px !important; transition: all;” data-userway-s4-bigger-text-styled=”true”>watch a lot of games of his? LOL
<p data-userway-font-size=”12″ style=”font-size: 15px !important; transition: all;” data-userway-s4-bigger-text-styled=”true”>anyway, don’t be surprised when foerester can’t start the season due to a torn bicep which is why shabanov will make sense. at least that’s the rumor around the hot dog stands.
Foerster was working out during the draft

ParticipantMarek suggests if PHI or BOS trades up, it will be for Brady Martin. Everybody looking for the next Sam Bennett apparently. I would assume Utah @ 4 would be the only possible pick in the top 5 in play to be traded.
oh please don’t give up anything for Martin. Just acquire players like him when you’re ready for the cup run
TheBigE
ParticipantBill would you have rather has zegras or rossi?
really hope they do not rush to sign him to an ext. there is no need as need to see a full year first. if he produces (and not healthy) like he has the last 2 years you need to walk away or sing a 1 year very cheap deal.
hope this doesn’t cloud their judgment on taking hagens if he is there, though briere has loved him for 2 years.
For what we gave up for Zegras, Zegras

ParticipantWhy I believe Zegras can make Tippett expendable is due to cap allocation. If Zegras is re signed after this season, it will be for more then his current cap hit of 5.75 million. In 2 years, Michkov will be signing his second contract and potentially Foerster signing his third contract. Granted, Tippett at 6.2 million in a rising cap is not bad, but right now arguably the current top 9 forwards is- Michkov, TK, Zegras, Foerster, Couts, Brink, Tippett, Cates, and ???? Couts contract will be hard to move. TK and Michkov basically untouchable. Cates contract can be moved as well as Brink. However, not sure Tippett is a forward who really can play a 3rd line role. Also, forwards such as Bump, Grebenkin, and Luchanko will probably be ready for an NHL role within the next 2 seasons. Just a numbers game with Tippett. Interesting roster construction decisions are ahead.
One of Tippett, Brink, and Pelletier won’t be here much longer. Foerster might even be trade bait but we need larger guys like him
TheBigE
ParticipantWe’re one of the smallest teams in the league, plus I’m not a big fan of this kid, but he is definitely skilled and we need centers.
Finding big guys is much easier than finding skilled guys
