Participantand they’ve answered my concern for a real 4th liner with muscle, Blais is much more of a fit for there than Kapanen !
2022-23 and 23-24 he was top 10 in the NHL for hits, we needed thatI fail to see a spot for Kapanen on this team tbh. I like the kid but too much of the same with Beck and Evans.
correct and its the way it should be, spots should be hard to win

ParticipantBob McKenzie calls it a career.
His last day.
He had a really nice run.

that’s kind of out of nowhere, isn’t it?

ParticipantI looked at a reel of all of Bolduc’s goals last year, he has a great shot. 80% of them where from center of the ice high slot with either a one timer or a wrister. Looks like he’s great at fiding the open ice to make himself open.
I think he might fit in well with Demidov who likes to skate with the puck and create plays.
I don’t think Laine will be a great fit, too static and whoever they will be centered by won’t be a selke nominee for sure. You need another winger that can play the 200 foot game and I think Bolduc is more capable in that department or otherwise. I think Demidov, Dach, Laine is too much of a liability.I saw the same thing … the puck doesn’t stay long on his stick, boom and it’s in the net.
Like you, I could see him working well eventually with Demidov as their styles are complimentary … Bolduc also brings in that 200 foot game (physical aspect/puck retrieval/forechecking).
The more I watch videos of Bolduc, the more I like his play … he seems like a stubborn dog on a bone. ????
Great replacement for Heineman with a lot more upside IMO.As for Laine, I don’t see him being with the team once his contract is up at the end of the season … he barely moves out there, his only asset is his shot and the opponents know it.
He’s way too expensive for what he brings (PP specialist only).and they’ve answered my concern for a real 4th liner with muscle, Blais is much more of a fit for there than Kapanen !

Participantcould they go with
Matheson Dobson
Guhle Hutson
Struble Carrier
and leave Reinbacher in Laval a bit longer?I kinda like the idea of a Guhle / Dobson first pairing !!
Then Carrier with Hutson…Alexander Romanov signs an eight-year extension with the New York Islanders carrying a $6.25M AAV
What the fuck is with these 4-6 guys like him, Bahl, Hague getting these massive deals? I guess they really hope that with the cap going up so much, that will be a steal in 3-4 years for a guy in their prime as a 3-4?
I’m with you, like the guy but you can’t give 6.25 to a 20 pts D ?

ParticipantNo one will believe me now, this is so unfair
what, that you cured your Ghonorhea finally?

ParticipantIf you are thinking about trading Reinbacher to get Kyrou, why not sign a guy like Ehlers or Boeser tomorrow and keep your assets?
I was just thinking that, maybe the plan is to sign Boeser?

#Habs #Canadiens
So an Offer to : Dobes, Struble, Trudeau and Farrell me would think ?

ParticipantHe was not going elsewhere.
Good deal for the Leafs.
Under 5 years and under 5 million. I know he’ll keep declining, but 38 goals is 38 goals.
its a very good signing value wise, no doubt about that.
But its just how many times he went pouet pouet pouet in the playoffs, including with the Isles
I was really thinking the Leaf would try to make more changes

Participant“You guys can quote?” – jugkope
It works half the time … and the result looks “too busy”. JMO
I just copy paste the original message (with author’s name) and then respond.
Easier with no fuss, it looks cleaner and it works every time.you are too busy

ParticipantSo apparently starting in 2026…

A playoff salary cap
84-game regular season (less pre-season games)
Shorter max term contractsWill be interesting to see how this looks, when finalized.
Playoff salary cap was a must, it was getting ridiculous in some cases.
i’ll believe it when I see it, but it would be great !!

ParticipantIf they can get Bennet for cheap, sure. Will that happen? Nope.
Tavares is much more likely
I think he is the ideal person to get, but I do not think he comes to Montreal.
He will be with Toronto.
Wont Toronto want some changes at one point ?

ParticipantSeems to be limited, tried to respond to a long set of quotes from the previous page but would not post it (even though it acted like it was going to post).
Regardless, good change/update.
ya, I tried to quote AND add a GIF, did not work
