Hockey Fights Cancer For Mammoth

Hockey Fights Cancer night for the Utah Mammoth will be on November 22nd, 2025. Hockey Fights Cancer is a joint initiative between the NHL and NHLPA. It is powered by the V Foundation for Cancer Research. The events are presented by AstraZeneca and is back for its 27th season.

The mission is to unite the global hockey community through storytelling and meaningful events. Key goals are to fundraise for cancer research, to educate and empower more fans to learn about cancer risk factor. Also, on how to take action to get screened for certain cancers. To do this, the NHL and NHLPA allow each franchise to have a Hockey Fights Cancer night during the season. Each home team has a separate date on the league schedule.

For the Utah Mammoth, they are selling single-goal view seats for $20, with $5 from every ticket going to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation in Utah. The event will be sponsored by the University of Utah, Huntsman Cancer Institute. Hockey Fights Cancer is such an important night for every team throughout the league. Fans can expect to see a lot of purple, as it is the color used by the NHL for this special night.

Hockey Fights Cancer is Special

Last season, throughout the game, patients were recognized for their stories of hope, and cancer survivors were honored with unique experiences, such as riding the Zamboni, watching warmups from the players’ bench, and meeting the team. It is expected that the Mammoth will do something similar this season.

The commemorative game in 2024 against the Edmonton Oilers opened with a ceremonial puck drop by 13-year-old Porter Kellum. He was diagnosed earlier that year with a rare malignant sinus tumor called esthesioneuroblastoma. Porter’s connection to the Utah Hockey Club began when Utah players visited Huntsman Cancer Institute to meet patients undergoing treatment and the dedicated staff who care for them. Saturday night’s game against the New York Rangers promises to be just as meaningful.
