The Anaheim Ducks selected forward Roger McQueen with the 10th overall pick in this year’s NHL Draft.
McQueen has spent the last three seasons playing with the WHL’s Brandon Wheat Kings. The forward posted 21 goals and 51 points in 53 games with the team in the 2023-24 season, but suffered a spinal fracture this year which led him to miss most of this past season. In the 17 regular season games that he did suit up for, the 6-foot-5 forward scored 10 goals and 20 points.
The pick marks the seventh year in a row the Ducks have made a Top-10 selection in the draft. Heading into tomorrow, the Ducks will also hold nine more picks in two through seven.
