The Dallas Stars will host the Edmonton Oilers on Friday in Game Two of the Western Conference Final. Game time at American Airlines Center is 8:00 p.m. EDT (7:00 p.m. CDT). The game will be televised nationally in the United States on ESPN and streamed live on ESPN+.
The Stars staged a comeback 6-3 win in Game One on Wednesday night. Dallas exploded for five unanswered goals in the third period to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 6-3 victory.
Tyler Seguin (third and fourth goals of the playoffs) tallied two goals and an assist for Dallas. Miro Heiskanen (PPG, 1st), Mikael Granlund (PPG, 4th), Matt Duchene (PPG, 1st), and Esa Lindell (ENG, 1st) also scored. In a losing cause, Leon Draisaitl (6th) notch a goal and two assists for Edmonton. Evan Bouchard (5th) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (PPG, 4th, one assist) also scored for Dallas. Mikko Rantanen and Connor McDavid each chipped one assist for their respective clubs. In net, Jake Oettiger stopped 24 of 27 shots to Stuart Skinner’s 22 saves on 27 shots.

The Stars are 9-5 through their first 14 games of the 2025 playoffs. On home ice, the Stars 7-1 to date (2-4 on the road). Meanwhile, Edmonton is 8-4 overall, going 4-3 on the road (4-1 at home).
Special teams comparison
Heading into the series, special teams in the playoffs presented an on-paper edge to Dallas. In Game One of the series, it proved to be the biggest difference-maker. The Stars went 3-for-4 on the power play on Wednesday, with all three tallies coming amid the massive turnaround in the third period. The Oilers scored on their first power play of the game. Subsequently, the Stars killed off their next two penalties including a vital PK in the third period.

News and Notes
Both Heiskanen and Jason Robertson report feeling much better since their respective returns from injury to the Stars’ lineup. The Stars sent out their second power play unit to start the carryover power at the start of the third period. It paid off in Heiskanen’s goal to draw back within 3-2.
