New Canadiens Connection: Keys To Series

Last week, we devoted time to breaking down what the Montreal Canadiens needed to do to have a chance in this NHL playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Now, the series is well underway. So this feels like a good time to review some areas that were identified as being keys to Montreal’s success. It’s straightforward to point out things that are clearly working. In other cases, there are still areas that are a work in progress.

The question now becomes how much of what we’ve seen through the first few games is sustainable over the rest of the series, and determining whether the Canadiens are capable of correcting any weaknesses. Coach Marty St. Louis is charged with the responsibility of making adjustments that will allow his players to execute a winning game plan.
