BKFC Ice Wars Front Line: Jordan “The Warden” Christie

Ice Wars fighter Jordan Christie chats with Flyers alumni enforcer Riley Cote.

Victorious in his BKFC Ice Wars debut, Jordan “the Warden” Christie returns to battle on October 10. On that night, BKFC holds its first-ever Florida card at Amerant Bank Arena (home of the two-time Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers). Recently, Christie has consulted with various famed pro hockey enforcers, including RIley Cote and Dennis Bonvie, to talk ways to sharpen fighting techniques.

“When you want to be the best you learn from the best!” Christie wrote on his Facebook page. “This [hockey-style fighting] is an art and its own genre of fighting. For these pros to take the time out of their day to teach my things makes my toolbox that much bigger come fight night.”

A native of Whitney Pier, Nova Scotia, Christie packs 183 pounds on his 5-foot-11 frame. In the hockey realm, he’s a defenseman for the Laval Petroliers in the rough-and-tumble LNAH. Christie. 34. had interest in joining Ice Wars a few years ago. The ambition did not come to fruition at the time. However, after Ice Wars reorganized and became part of the growing Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC) realm, Christie launched his co-career in Ice Wars. He still plays hockey, too.
