ParticipantShould have drafted Lawrence.
I said it a number of times, Malholtra may be the 3rd best C in this draft after Bjork and Lawrence. Trust in the scouts? No. They have not earned it because its the same failtards as before. They can definitely earn my trust with this recent draft… or completely trigger me into rage…. lol. Time will tell. I do have a better feeling about this draft than the last few but picking high, multiple 1st and 2nds will fill anyone with optimism.

ParticipantDoes anyone have a link showing the scoring leaders for the summer showcase? All I get is goal scorer recaps.
Far as I can tell, the best C for Canada has been Tynan Lawrence. I think he has at least 3 points in the main games. Good play maker.
Our guys didnt get a point in their game. Lawrence stole the spotlight in it.
So far Rogowski is our standout.
One game left for Canada. Would love to see a big game out of our two centers. Rogowski vrs Malholtra and Cootes. Should be a fun one.

ParticipantYes the showcase in the header
The 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase features four national teams: Canada, Finland, Sweden, and the United States. The event takes place from July 26 to August 1 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario
No big deal let’s look to all prospects playing anywhere & everywhere. Kind of excited to track all of these kids.

ParticipantNovotony has no team to join. Lol
What do you mean? You mean summer showcase? They will be at the big show at least.
According to Google….
“Czechia’s projected 2027 World Junior team is a massive gold medal contender, returning up to 12 players from their previous squad, including tournament MVP Vojtěch Čihař.”

ParticipantQuote is broken… twice I lost my post.
Cootes will be invited we can assume. If he’s on the Canucks, I doubt he’ll be released. If he’s on Abby I assume they will let him go.
Like I said in the original post, Rogowski is going back to junior. College next season. No springboard to College this summer showcase.
Malholtra should get an invite. He wasnt on last WJC team… He should make it this season hopefully. If passed on yet again, there will be concerns.
Novontny for sure will be going. A couple of others maybe.
Agree this site has bugs. Just gotta persevere just like us fans during this rebuild. Lol
The showcase oughta be interesting. The US has 2 teams does 🇨🇦 as well? Idk

ParticipantI think we are going to have a lot of Canucks property invited to the WJC this season so I opened a specific thread.
Brooks Rogowski has been invited to the summer showcase. Good. This kid needs a lot of hockey. It was a good decision of his to put college off a year to get in 70 games OHL games plus playoffs potentially. Now we can hopefully add some WJC games as well.
I’m hoping they play him on the PK. I think he has the potential to be one hell of a penalty killer. He’s defensively wise, good foot speed and extreme reach. Should be strong as an ox as well…
Wondering if Cootes is on team 🇨🇦?
Rogowski oughts use the showcase as a big stepping stone going into NCAA hockey.July 10, 2026 at 7:44 pm #77540Booner
