I am of the opinion that DelMastro is still not ready for a chance just yet. Nolan Allen is closer, and DelMastro is a smart attacker and tactician, but still needs work.
I’m thinking right now we carry Reichel as a 14th Forward but he never dresses until he plays like a big boy in practice. It would mean somebody like EDM for sure gets sent down but this is a move we can make for now. The alternative would be taking somebody else’s change of scenery or even better, decent player whose contract needs to be launched in trade. Bottom line, I’m not letting him go for a 5th round choice. He can rot before I do that.

I love where Frondell is standing for one of those goals. Loved this draft pick and i do think the Blackhawks were fortunate he was injured last year.

For now i see the same issue I’ve seen since the rebuild. There’s just to much time and space all over the ice for the opponent. The other one is the lack of forwards with high hockey IQ who play in front of the goalie. Past 2 games they still are a perimeter team even on the PP i hope this changes in the regular season.

Mitchell WeeksI don’t understand the Lafferty acquisition, unless they just want Moore/Greene to get more time in Rockford.
Think this was the plan all along regardless of how they did in camp. Dangle the carrot and make them hope/try their best, but ultimately Kyle was always going to send them to Rockford to pay their dues and earn their way. Lafferty may end up taking the torch from Foligno for the elder statesman role after this season.
