Pas grand chose encore à nous rapporter tant que le camp du CH n’est pas commencé, mais moi aussi j’ai bien hâte pour le début de saison.
C’est un gros move Dobson et juste ça ça vient améliorer grandement le club selon moi, mais Demidov aussi va faire une grande différence. Sans compter l’ajout de Bolduc.
Je n’aime pas notre ligne de centre, mais elle était faible l’an dernier aussi. Dvorak n’est pas un joueur élite. Tout le monde le détestait avant les 3 derniers mois de la saison.
Cela va permettre aussi à un Beck ou pt un Kapanen de faire le club et de jouer au centre, surtout si Dach ne commence pas la saison.

pas mal d’accord avec toi sur tous les points. je pense que la grande majorité des partisans est optimiste, et si ça serait pas de la faiblesse au centre les gens capoteraient encore plus.
j’espère en tout cas que ce sera pas un carrousel interminable entre un paquet de joueurs pour la position 2C… l’idéal pour Dach serait d’être prêt pour le premier match, afin qu’il puisse avoir une véritable dernière audition et qu’on passe à autre chose si ça fonctionne pas.

I wonder what the new buzzword will be this year… last year it was to be in the mix, and obviously this season the team would like to take a step forward, but I think aiming to be in the mix again would be the way to go.
I’m not sure they absolutely need to say “we’re aiming for a playoff spot”, and if they miss them it wouldn’t necessarily be a total failure imho, since progress isn’t always a linear concept.

My son got cut from the AA camp in M13 so that’s alot less travel than the alternative, which also means more time!

His line with Baby-Wifi and Kap looked really good out there (at least, the part of the game I could watch, when not pulled away by work).
yup, their line dominated most of the time they were on the ice.
Fowler should’ve played the whole 60 minutes imho, but they switched mid-game while the jets had this DiVincentiis kid for the whole game, and he made some pretty damn good saves to keep his team in it, not that the score matters.

There is not much competition other than 3-4 teams going nuts, just need to click the button each week to auto set your roster, make sure you get goalie starts and manage your IR.
Like 5 minutes of work each week, maybe 10 on a bad week.

Un crontrat de 2 à 3 ans comme le veut la rumeur me semble plus probable qu’un contrat d’un an. Ce ne sera pas non plus au salaire minimum et s’il ne veut pas jouer au Canada, il ne va pas jouer au Canada.

I figure Hart would be willing to play pretty much anywhere if it means he gets a chance again to play in the NHL, it’s more about teams determining if signing him is worth the criticism they’ll receive if they offer him a contract imho.

I wasn’t saying the oilers or flyers would be his only options, there might be more teams that show interest, but the fact remains he hasn’t played in quite some time, and he was also inconsistent with his performances even before the whole Team Canada thing happened, so it isn’t a guarantee that it’s gonna work out for him either.

Hughes will not make a trade just to make a trade. The trade has to help the team and makes sense.
I think it has more chance to happen the closer we get to december and january. Thats when they got Carrier last season as well. With Demidov, Dobson and Bolduc, this is a better team than last season. No Dvorak does not change that.
They should be fine unless Suzuki goes down early and for a while. This is not a cup contender in 2025-2026 so our god damn GM might be more patient than the fans.
Hage is the one I want to see sooner than later with the Habs, but it cant happen if you trade him.

as for Laine, unless he’s injured he should stay in the lineup imho, despite his poor 5 on 5 play he still has a laser of a shot, and the habs probably don’t make the playoffs last year if it wasn’t for all those powerplay goals.

It may not mean what you think it means, but they may want to have another look at Kapanen down the middle. He is not a top 6 forward and will not play with Demidov during the season.

the solution is not in montreal or in Laval
I think having Bolduc on that 2nd line instead of Laine would help as well.

Dobson est un ajout important. La ligne bleue est solide sur papier.
On a plus de profondeur en général et plus d’options pour les deux vagues de pp.
J’aime beaucoup ce que j’ai lu sur Bodluc, même si j’admets que je le connaissais pas trop avant l’échange.
Les gens oublient que Demidov n’était pas là au début de la saison l’an dernier. Forcément le deuxième trio sera meilleur avec lui que sans lui.
Je n’aime pas notre ligne de centre après Suzuki, mais on avait le même problème l’an dernier. Crissez moi la paix avec Dvorak, tout le monde le détestait. Avec Bolduc et Demidov, on a plus de profondeur en attaque que l’an dernier.

As for the Flyers, I’m really curious what Trevor Zegras will look like away from Cronin’s allergic to offense system. If he and Michkov work well together, it could be fun to watch.

I still think they are a bubble team – Rangers will push hard this year, Sens are still there and who knows what the Red Wings and Sabers are really about anymore. Will the Jackets continue to surprise?
Overall, I just think this will be a more exciting team to watch this year, and my hope is, that we are not just waiting for the 1st line to be on the ice for excitement/scoring.
