ParticipantSince this section is seemingly void of any participants, yet, I thought I’d chime in as a Canuck fan and see what’s on the Canucks menu for the summer of 2025.

Blockedletting go of a good coach

ParticipantYes sad to see Tocchet go but hockey is an evolving sport, coaches and players both move on and life continues. Canucks have arguably the second best defenceman in the league and I personally think Pettersson will return to the 100pt player he has been in the past

ParticipantAlways tough when fans think the team has turned the corner, only to watch them fall flat on their face.

ParticipantI’m hopeful Adam Foote can help bring the group together, that being said, they need to vastly improve their forward group if they’re going to find any success next season.
PS: I can’t figure out how to properly quote someone on this website?

Last year was a tough year, management held out hope for far too long. They should’ve acted on things sooner. The team doesn’t really have the necessary means to make significant moves and Vancouver is being reported as not a destination for players, could be a tough year in Van City.

I think you need to copy and paste with the quote tool

Agreed, this team is a bit of a mess. They need to consider either a rebuild of selling for picks or a rebuild of selling players for that can bring back other players that have either quality or potential.
Although it isn’t a popular opinion, the trading of Quinn Hughes should get you 2 decent players, as well as a high pick or 2.
Another problem I see is the tendency to sign players especially 3rd and 4th liners, who had 1 okay season, or have played 5 or 6 games for the team and they get paid 3 million a piece.June 23, 2025 at 9:33 am #11000Freakshow

Yes, I think I’ve got it figured now, it’s not very user friendly but it’s manageable. Thank you!

So yes. They may as well just accept that fact and start a semi-rebuild, if you will.

ParticipantSo, the summer menu looks like it’s just re-sign everyone and hope for better results. According to Allvin some of the players they reached out to have no interest in playing in Canada, which is think is a bit misleading on his part. They probably don’t want to play for a crappy management group, along with playing in Canada.
