Rossi should have no problem displacing the flake.
Maybe on the O side of things. Rossi is not very good defensively. I can see Manny looking to EP as the #1 pk forward, match ups etc… no forward in the NHL throws himself in front of shots as much as EP40 does. I get the feeling a coach like Manny is going to appreciate those parts of his game. I doubt he treats him with spite because of his contract amount reflecting how many fans feel. He shouldn’t be a coach if that’s the case.
If he reaches his full potential he’d be more like Brendan Morrison. A 1C 3rd wheel with the right wingers flanking him. Better is a very good 2C.
Canucks depth is more 2 & 3C’s lacking a 1C til EP either gets on track or is gone. Can EP get to be a legit 1C? Yes. Am I banking on it? No. Biggest reasons starts with EP’s offseason preparation is highly questionable & wingers with top line talent. There is no excuse for EP to drive his own line as he is paid like a 1C.
Is this an insurance move with Demko’s health behind it?
Good news is if true the tank is full speed ahead. Bad news is FA wastes his money on 3/8.5m. Now get that practice facility built you are an embarrassment to Vancouver.

Going out on a limb predicting 68 points. That’s still 20+ points out of PO’s but right there looking at the best lottery odds. Feeling confident bottom 3 is a lock.

I’ll say the chance Demko plays 40 games won’t happen. That’s an easy prediction.
Leaves me only with a more basic question will Ohgren over under is 40 points. I’ll take the under if wrong well then a pretty good 4th piece thrown in for QH.
