Emil Andrae?

What does everyone think of him? Will he be a regular in the future?

Andrae has NHL caliber first-pass skill and PP2 upside. He got a little more elusive as the season moved along, after he was getting absolutely crushed physically by hanging in too long to absorbed hits. Still has defensive work to do. Right now, he’s on the bubble.

Bill how do you think the flyers have handled Andrae’s development?

I like him, but he is two small and gets crushed in the corners causing him to lose focus. I think they have a couple of young D men in Leigh Valley that can fill the roster for the Flyers. They will also have the 2025 draft and perhaps a trade or two, so I could see him being moved/traded.

And to think, we didnt draft Buium in part because we already have Andrae.

Yep, I get it. Two different D men in my opinion. At this point it’s a moot point, but it does show the thinking of the current management team.

if one believes that as aa reason..Andrae is just another in a long line of potential 3rd paring dman they have drafted; if he pans out.

I like Andrea over Zamula. Flyers need at least six guys better than both of them on D.
