Of course you can’t see it because you don’t know what you’re looking at. Better offense, defense and goaltending. Must be overwhelming for you.

Goaltending has been ok but really not seeing much else. Playing Sanheim 30 min a night with Andrae in the minors doesn’t seem like a long term solution. Sounds like something Torts would do. Tocchet’s lineup decisions are questionable at best so far and he might not be any better than Torts.

    Scott Wheeler

The way Rick Tocchet has talked about and used Matvei Michkov early on I think comes from a place of misunderstanding.
Team is 0-2. Michkov has been neutered. Has played 13 and 14 mins. Coach keeps talking about how he needs to play north and says all of the top players do.

I don’t know how you can watch Kucherov, Draisaitl, Marner, Kane, Panarin, Rantanen, Strome, Reinhart, Stone, Fox, Boldy, Bouchard (the list goes on) and come to the conclusion that the next development step for Michkov has to be downhill pace rather than leaning into strengths.

I don’t think Scott Wheeler agrees with you.

The Flyers and a vocal segment of their fans would rather die on the 1974-75 hill than change. Bleeds orange and black and was born to be a Flyer.

Can’t see how anything has changed under DB and Jonesy other than the shiny packaging. What’s inside the box is still the same.

The Wild have been laughing every day for the last 2 years over the Flyers incompetence.

I really did not have an issue how Luchanko and Grebenkin were utilized until the third period. The narrative is this weird line “we expect to be better this season, but not be sellers and do not expect the team to be a legit playoff contender”. What better a way to develop young guys who the team is going to need to get better then let play in game 2 of a tight hockey game in the third period. Hopefully it changes as the season progresses, but most hockey HCs seem determined to using the vets even though the team is not good enough to compete over prospects who the hope is to lead them back to contention in the future.

    – as JJ said, flyers hanging with the best teams. love the “moral” victories 2 games into the season.

    – very important point per boucher.

    – bad call on the goalie in OT. brutal to me.

    – imagine anyone thinking brinks spot was in jeopardy of not cracking the lineup.

Hahaha! A point was stolen from them last night due to bad officiating and the Toronto call. I wasn’t sold on a few guys heading into this season, including Brink, Drysdale, Abols, Zamula. At least I named specific names and didn’t just engage in vague general dumping on the team. Three of them have delivered. How is that a problem? How many games last year did Brink look as good as he did last night? If there was even one, he would never ha

comparing a rookie in buium to a seasoned very like JD is a tad off base. love your obsession with buium. playing a tad under 25 minutes a night last game. take him and his play over what the flyers have to offer, going forward.

however the chances of the flyers developing buium into a top pair guy are slim. better off for laughtchenko. he bleeds fleyrs and plays flyers hockey.

The chances of any team getting adequate defense out of Buium any time soon is slim. He wasn’t as brutal last night as he was in his one pre-season melt down but -4’s don’t lie either. Drysdale has a whopping 220 games in, hardly a seasoned vet. MIN seems to be following the “we’re going to outscore our opponents or get blown out at home by Columbus trying” plan.

<p data-userway-font-size=”12″ style=”transition: all; font-size: 15px !important;” data-userway-s4-bigger-text-styled=”true”>I hope eventually we see Grebenkin on the PP as a net front presence. Not sure how Briere is going to resolve this glut at wing, but if the game plan is to be a puck possession team, going to need wingers who can constantly win along the boards and protect the puck. Grebenkin and Foerster are the two best options. Maybe Grebenkin gets more then 11 shifts if the team stops taking dumb penalties, just need to find a way to get him more shifts.

Tippett needs to go. Maybe he needs to play with a real center but the guy just skates and isn’t doing much else

makes zero sense to keep both the russian and the jett if going to give them shit minutes. flyers just have the wrong approach. all about the current day and results.

excluding the 4th line, MM has the lowest TOI among the forwards. going to be something to watch going forward with the most overpaid coach in the game.

I feel bad for Brink after he had a great game but Drysdale with 0 points and 0 SOG. Sanheim played another 30 minutes tonight. Neither keeper had .900 sv% tonight

Hahaha! .897 for Ersson. Hardly awful. He stopped a lot of pucks. Very disappointed they didn’t steal another point or two these last two games. It was there for them. The reffing tonight and OT goal ruling were trash. Drysdale has been OK. I don’t care about his offense. He looks much better defensively. Speaking of offense, Zeev Buium scored his first NHL goal tonight en route to his first -4 game against the high octane scoring power of Columbus. Defensively, he’s making Drysdale look like Larry Robinson.
