Most of the Flyers players are now in town before the start of training camp. Meanwhile, there are a host on of-ice and off-ice events ahead of camp.

      – how can you say they have a great forward unit? Lacks a #1 and maybe a #2. One top end prospect. Bottom 10 in the league in scoring. Not sure where you get Great from

      – outside of York and Sanheim I see numerous question marks. Not that promising to me with a bunch of bottom pair potential outside of bonk

      – grebenkin is emerging as an elite forward? What’s Your definition of an elite forward ?

      – assume nesbitt didn’t do anything of note.

I appreciate Bill’s content, as always, but wow, I miss the discussion forums at his old blog spot.

If it’s a battle for one roster spot, Grebenkin > Bump for now.

Solid all around play. Physical and 3 points in two games. Why do you hate him and think he’ll fail miserably?

Fedotov traded to Columbus for a 6th round pick. This is a surprise. Not that the Flyers traded him, but that they got a pick for him.

just another bad take which isn’t surprising.

so yo think playing in a rookie game will have any bearing at all when camp actually starts. sure why not.

You do understand what “for now” means, right?

Nope. Those games have no bearing on anything. Dumb ass statement.

Who on the defense is in the lead as of now based on those games?

Gill isn’t an option for this year, but I liked what I saw there. Vlooswyk looked OK out there to me. There are enough guys to fill the D spots though. No help for this season from the guys who played in these games. We’ll see how Bonk looks in the PS. D has at least two spots that should be upgraded, but they have guys to fill them who didn’t play in these games. They do have 2-3 available spots up front and a couple guys from these games are in the mix. As usual, not complicated.

He’ll get used. I figure it’ll be read and react from Tocchet. If liberties start getting taken with the better players, you’ll see more of him. Home games, depending on who the visitors dress, you’ll see more of him.

do you think that is a good thing? you really think he will prevent any liberties from being taken? he offers nothing in 2025. read and react I agree which is a joke really. very predictable f

he should be riding the pine and never play unless an emergency situation.

tell me what ND offers the flyers or any team in 2025. he is not an nhl viable player at this stage. he fn stinks. doesn’t prevent any player or team from doing what they want to do. they laugh their asses off when they see him on the ice. he will kill and drag down both of his linemates.

go flyers. need to be tough to play against. that ND will make his team feel safe. he has that aura.

Maybe Bobby Brink can fill that role this year.

you have nothing as usual. what role is that?

Another great comparison. That guy is like Crosby compared to nd.

Funny how you espouse every bone headed hockey cliche you hear and think sounds right and then ignore clear evidence when you’re proved wrong.

What am I wrong about? Nd is not an nhl level player.

Clearly u do not watch the games as even Stevie wonder can see the diff between the 2.

You at a complete and utter buffoon. Have a blessed day

I like the Grebenkin kid. He really isn’t a hockey cliche interviewee that’s for sure.
I hope he can make the team just for the pressers.

He looked good against less than stiff competition. His scoring numbers in the AHL aren’t eye popping, a bit better than .5 PPG, but if he proves to be the best guy competing for an open slot, he should get the open slot. You don’t need a lot of offense from a bottom 6 forward.

With the current defense (and goaltending), the Flyers need all the offense they can get.

They scored 238 and gave up 286 last year. They need to come close to reversing that this year. Adding Zegras and improvement from guys already here will help. Keep the shot save percentage to .9 and that can cut goals maybe 20-30. I think they’ll be better on both. How much? That’s why we play the games. I expect them to at least meet in the middle. 24 more goals, 24 fewer goals allowed for 262 each.
