Alex Bump and Jett Luchanko are The pressing at this point. Getting a goal would do Bump a world of good. Meanwhile, Luchanko is playing too safe and seems anxious to rid of the puck rather than protecting it or making a play.

Unfortunately, there has also been “poor play described as just OK” as well: Noah Juulsen and Helge Grans fit that description.

Yet, Tocchet is saying the Flyers are, overall, playing with too much risk. Seems like Luchanko is doing what the coach wants. He looks to me like a pretty safe, responsible player even if the offense is lacking. I’m thinking they’ll take that since Jett is only working for a depth role. It’s not like they’re looking for Top 6 level scoring from him. I’m not worried about Bump, but you do have to bear down near your own goal with only a couple seconds left on the clock. Situational awareness. Ersson did too. He might be the odd man out at this point because he can go to LHV.

Grans needs to go back to LHV. The situation is in his head. He’s at the crash and burn/meltdown stage. That’s in everyone’s best interest. Tocchet has said Juulsen can play better. He’s coming off surgery and hadn’t played since February before camp. The D situation is much more messy than the forwards. I see five guys going for three spots and figure they’ll all get two more games. May the least terrible D-men win.

hope the jett makes the team. plays in them all as the 4th line center. never develops an offensive touch or game. absolutely love that scenario.

the jett in that role will out the team over the top and into the playoff mix.

I’m not sure why Adam Ginning jumped into the neutral zone to receive a breakout pass from Michov or why Jamie Drysdale ended up on the wrong side of the puck, too.

Ginning and Grans have looked bad despite what the radio guys were saying yesterday.
