Well there are the ramifications of Schneider and Koorpisalo overpay.. Anthony Mantha who is better player than Bjorkstrand by the way.. just signed with the Devils 2 yr 9.5 m.
Gee it’s not like the Rangers can’t use scoring the guy had 33 goals and 31 assists on an upstart Penguins team.
Maybe give the 30 goal scorer a contract who was just sitting out there..
Nope need to pay Koorpisalo 4m and Bjorkstrand 4.5 and Schneider 5.5 m off his worst season of his career.How many goals does Mantha get against us this year? Last year he was a Ranger killer every game!
Drury consistently overpays for guys when he should be zeroing in on guys that could actually help the team, a 30 goal scorer woukd have done that ( even if he doesn’t hit 30 he’s probably closer to 25 goals which we would all take.
Finding a scoring winger is never easy. The return to me was fair. Dorofeyev is only 25, so he is someone to build around for the future. Less positive on Pettersson deal given cost and his age. But the D with him and Durzi is certainly better.!
My view on Korpisalo was pretty clear. If giving up a pick for him, half the salary should have been eaten by Boston. Put Kartye for now on third line and Raddysh in fourth line, but would rather a winger who could score
Jan, do you think the Dorofeyev trade was the right time to make a trade like that? Same goes for Petterrson?
Raddysh simply cannot be here when camp breaks. I’d take Kartye over him easy. And don’t take that to mean I’d be satisfied with him.
Being stuck with one of them is what we get for the stupid, horrible move of getting Korpisalo.He’s definitely getting traded. And I have a feeling we’ll hate the return
