It’s nice to have a place to go where there isn’t a lot of trashy talk and being able to debate without having someone calling you a childish name. Saying that, this site needs to get the word out and start drawing people over from other sites, giving it legitimacy. The few of us that are relatively new could get the word out elsewhere, but I’m not sure of the ethics of doing so. Word of mouth is one thing, poaching at another site is another. I’d really like to see this site take off and take a bite out of the competition.

On tonight’s Convo, I agree with much of what was said. For the Leafs to have a chance to win, they must win game 1 and force the Panthers into a long series. The Leafs are as healthy as they’ve been all year and they came out of the Ottawa series unscathed. We know that Florida hits to hurt, so we must take it to them on our home ice. I’m not sure if the Scotia Bank crowd has it in them, but I’m hoping so. In game one, there should be no chance in hell of seeing Ryan Reaves. He’s a dark hole and the Panthers just won’t engage him. A hard forecheck is what’s needed and not shying away from the rough stuff. Sticks down and full speed ahead. The Leafs goaltending must match Florida’s, if there’s any chance to win. I give the Leafs a 40% chance of winning, due to their overall health and being able to have a few days off between series. In 2 weeks we’ll have our answer. There’s no-one in the Metro that can match up with Florida or Toronto. So whoever prevails in this series likely goes to the finals.
