ParticipantDeadsville around here. Imagine, once the summer arrives, they could shut it down for lack of interest. All I can add is lose! Lose in regulation. Give Los Angeles the points, so they can make the playoffs and allow us to get a 2nd instead of a 3rd. This game needs to go in the column of tank for success. Anyone who wants to see the Leafs win tonight will be degrading the future. The Leafs have no future with a gutless, old team with few leaders and no prospects that are worthy of excitement in the system. This team looks like Hiroshima after the bomb. I’d sit every veteran the rest of the way.

ParticipantThe Leafs will hire the DEI candidate every time. Time to go to sleep, this one’s in the loss column. Watched the Sens/Sabres game earlier. That was a good game. Leafs are nothing but cannon fodder right now.
They have like four or five DEI assistant GMs already.
Nylander has already said he would NOT stick around for a rebuild. One has to assume Matthews would give the same answer. And if those two guys waive, absolutely nobody else on the team will not also waive.

ParticipantThe leafs down 3-1
And sitting 8th last in the league as per nhl.com
There sits a Canadian right handed D who is already 6’-2”, weighs 202lbs, had 78P and 75PIM in 68 games this season, and already has 7P and 6PIM in 4 playoff games and his team, The Prine Albert Raiders, are 1 win away from the 2nd round.
You’re welcome Boston. Can’t wait to watch The Leafs play that guy 👍😐

ParticipantCould the Leafs do the following:
Present: Mike Gillis.
GM: Sunny MehtaI guess we will see.
Sunny Mehta is a worthy candidate but would require a legit hockey guy above him to have the hockey eye test as the final say.
Mike Gillis is not the guy. Absolutely not qualified at all to run this team in terms of track record and doesn’t seem to have anything new to bring to the table either.

ParticipantDid really state that or is that your statement?
That’s pretty much what he said in a less direct way.

ParticipantLeBrun states the following:
– The odds are higher the Leafs hire both a President and a GM.
– The search for the next President / GM will be more expansive as the previous one was limited. (Hence why they ended up with a dumbass like Treliving.)
– The early candidates are applying with the intention of a rebuild, NOT a retool. This means the outside hockey world is giving them the answer they don’t want to hear.
– The retool / rebuild question will be answered by Matthews.
– The person hired might just be a “yes man” like Dubas was when Pittsburgh hired him to follow marching orders.Did really state that or is that your statement?
