I’d put money on DeBoer, career runner up coach, fits the franchise perfect.
Vegas issue is they didn’t let Paul Marner run the team and play Mitch first line and give him the ‘C’. They also had injuries and goalie problems. Unlike the laffs, who had spectacular goaltending and a constant healthy lineup. Laffs fans can’t possibly point to those areas as major contributing factors for a failed season. I do agree the GM needs to go. He signed a rapist that got hurt almost immediately. Talk about missing the mark culturally within the locker room and on ice product.
I also get why people are looking at Babs, Keefe, Cassidy and an underachieving team and thinking it’s Mitch but it’s not. He is not to blame he is to be cherished. No way he is a locker room cancer. I will never let anyone tell me his careless and juvenile approach to his job rubs off and impacts the rest of the room. I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!
So maybe Vegas should have spent the Marner money on a goalie?

Vegas already had Hill signed for 6.25 AAV. Hill has only been able to play 25 games as he has been injured and played poorly.
VGK only allows 24 shots per game, 3rd best in the NHL. The GM should blame himself for not making a move at the deadline to solidify the net. Same mistake Edmonton keeps making too.
These teams don’t need .950 SV% prime Hasek either. Just average goaltending and both teams are contenders over night.
