ParticipantMarner is a complete player except physical play and knowing how to not be a crybaby lol
I’d seriously rather have this current leafs team than have that little whiny ass bitch still with them. Sure he can play, but I don’t like him.

ParticipantUmmm 5pts, fewer GP, and vs much hard competition.
No, Marner chose to leave YOU. The fans who act exactly like MAGA does. He left because mgnt tried to play hardball with him. He left because he had to hire security to protect his pregnant wife (or newborn baby I can’t remember) because the psychos (you and the other 5 F’s) were basically left to attack him and the organization did nothing.
Be basically won the 4NFO tourney for Canada. He’s their best playoff performer while he was in TO. Best Leaf they ever drafted and had.
Gone. The team goes downhill. But you still act like everything is normal. lol. Brain rot. Anyhow, enjoy cheering for a loser franchise.

ParticipantThis is what matters.
Marner is a complete player. He brought structure to the Leafs.
Funny how the Leafs have guys racking up a ton of pts now that he’s gone, but are obviously a train wreck of a team.
Maybe there’s more to being a good hockey team than just a few guys getting their cookies? Hmm?
Anyhow. The coping and seething is off the charts now that Mitch moved on and Vegas is having success, while the Leafs are an embarrassment. Funny watching some of you still try to defend Willy, like it was the right choice keeping him hahaha.
Cope on, my little Muchachos..
Ummm vegas is a WHOLE 5 pts ahead of the leafs. So 5pts is what defines success and embarrassment?
Marner chosed to leave…..he chose to leave you….he didnt like you. Marner CHOSE to leave his hometown team….couldnt cut it when it counts.
Fun in the regular season, disappeared in games 5 -7.November 22, 2025 at 10:55 am #50602Fakepartofme
ParticipantDidn’t Marner leave because he has a young wife a baby who he believed were at risk in Toronto? So much so he hired private security too.
Can’t blame the guy putting the safety of his family first.Thats not why he left. Gimme a break.

Can’t blame the guy putting the safety of his family first.Anyone who thinks that Mitch is the only one in his family that has a say in his contract is a flat out fool.
He’s raising a family so safety and cash play a role, therefore privacy is important and no, he doesn’t want to hand out discounts since other family members live off his earnings as well.
It’s cute that there are some people who truly believe that hockey comes first in a player’s life.

ParticipantOh I agree.
He’s no longer a top 10 player he’s drastically falling off, he’s more like a 20 – 30th ranked player. Which is a big problem for the leafs. But to suggest trading him for a kid who hasnt even played 30 games in the nhl is foolish. We’ve seen so many kids explode into to the league and fall right off or plateau.
Depends… does he keep crashing? If so where will Matthews be by the end of this contract?
Sometimes holding on is the biggest mistake, and he just doesn’t seem into this team anymore. I hope I’m wrong, but fuck he’s not the stud anymore, take the C off his chest and let him just focus on his game again at least.

ParticipantMM – 20 GP / 4 goals / 17 assists / 21 Points +10
WN – 18PG / 9 Goals / 18 assists / 27 Points +6

The Leafs simply couldn’t afford to keep both if they wanted to build a more balanced roster (despite JT taking an incredibly team friendly deal and performing well beyond the value for what he is being paid – suck it UG you meat stick) which pretty much everyone agreed they needed to do at this point (yes many said it much earlier and have proven to be right). Now if they have or have not accomplished building said more balanced roster so far is a whole different topic of discussion but the injuries have really impacted this team so far this year – a point that the chicken little types here just seem to ignore entirely.
The numbers so far tell us that the entire Willy is selfish, lazy, and a huge defensive liability and Marner is just an elite playmaker and such a better player than Willy narrative is providing to be complete and utter bullshit so far this regular season. Maybe Willy is in fact a sniper AND an elite playmaker!
And we all know which of those 2 players was effective in games 4-7 in playoffs series in past years and which one was not.
Oh great, this Jack Leg is back. Go crash another train into a dump truck.
It will be pretty interesting to see how this looks come end of the season.
Who knows Marner may win a cup in Vegas but at this point it looks like he’d be a passenger and not leading them to it.
Things can change, time will tell.
Nothing would please this Leaf fan more than to see a Toronto / Vegas cup final and watch Marner cry while Willy raises the cup lol.
Can you imagine the media circus if it was a Vegas / Leaf final?
Marner was our best player last year. Unlike Nylander and Matthews, MM played defensively responsible too.
