I’m surprised by a few things. The Brazeau experiment is still going. I thought it would flop immediately and he would end up on the 4th line. After his hot start I figured by game 5 it would taper off. If anything Mantha is starting to roll a bit.

Kindel’s line has very impressive analytically and in actual gf vs ga they are doing alright. Not sure who is the Xfactor on that line but I would like to see mcgroats on the 3rd line LW once returned, after probably a stint in the A to get him up to game speed. Maybe McG – Kindel – A Hayes at some point.

I would love to see some success for Jarry. If we could snag a couple solid defensive D men to balance out the right side I’d say we’ve got a solid shot at the playoffs and possibly sqeaking out a round depending on the matchup, team health, etc

Penguins started sleepy but continued to improve throughout the game. Silovs was solid and made timely saves. Good game overall.

Things started sideways for the Pittsburgh Penguins as they gave up a goal on the first shot of the game for the first time this year.  It took time to get going.
